Beyoncé's Love for Country Music Explained By Her Dad

Klaudia//February 26, 2024
Beyoncé’s dad has revealed that she loved country music as a baby.

Following the release of the music superstar’s country songs “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages,” her father has revealed that she has been a country music fan from a young age.

In an interview with the BBC Asian Network, Matthew Knowles explained that Beyoncé often spent time with her country music-loving grandfather in Alabama as a child.

“When Beyoncé was a little baby, and I’m talking two-three years old, she would go down and spend the summer with my parents,” the record executive said. “And her grandfather – my father – loved country music, and he used to sing to her. At an early age, she heard this music.”

Matthew, 72, added, “And when you’re two, three years old, subconsciously music stays in your head.”

During the interview, Matthew – who was his daughter’s manager until 2011 – noted that he “wouldn’t be surprised” if Beyoncé’s crossover from R&B and pop to country music was inspired by her early years.

The-Dream on Why He'd Give His Kidney to Beyoncé

Klaudia//January 13, 2024
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, The-Dream talks about his friendship with Beyoncé and more.

You worked on the new song “My House” with Beyoncé for the Renaissance film — what was it like creating it?

It was beautiful. Me and that girl, man, we just clicked. It’s not even work anymore. It is, “Hey, well, what you doing? What you doing? Good morning, good morning, let’s do something. Let’s do it.” And then the song’s done.

So that was one of those things that happened pretty late. We were like, “Yo, we need something for this film.” And it’s October at that particular point. “Are you going to pick a record we already have?” And I think we thought about that at first, and then it was more so about, “Hey, let’s just do something from how we are feeling now. Man, let’s just have a good time.”

And then that record came about, and that’s kind of the end of the story. “How do we wrap Renaissance up in a way without also trying to compete with it or make something that’s light-Renaissance, because Renaissance is a special thing?”

Dr. Christmas Reveals How He Decorated Beyoncé and JAY-Z's House

Klaudia//December 24, 2023
Dr. Christmas just shared how he styled Beyoncé and Jay-Z's home for the holiday season.

Dr. Christmas, whose real name is Bob Pranga, shared with PEOPLE what it's been like to help celebrities deck the halls for the past 40 years. The 61-year-old designer shared how “fascinating” it was to decorate the “Crazy in Love” collaborators’ home with their desired “Christmas in Africa” theme.

“I got a call from her assistant that they decided they wanted to spend Christmas in Malibu... three days before Christmas," Pranga shared with PEOPLE.

"It was a fascinating thing to me because I went out there and it was like a movie set," said Pranga. "All these people were hired to make this house perfect before they got there for Christmas Eve."

He shared how he and his team were on a tight time constraint with just the simple direction of making their home a “Christmas in Africa" theme with "beautiful colors and prints.” He revealed that the team had “less than 24 hours to prepare her home.”

“Beyoncé is just a lovely lady. She's very chill,” explained Pranga. “People are always looking for those wonderful or horrible stories of celebrities.”

“But I get to see these people as people at home,” he simply concluded.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z rent bus for private tour of NYC with kids

Klaudia//December 21, 2023
Beyoncé and Jay-Z had an empire state of mind Wednesday when they rented out an entire bus for a private family tour of New York City.

The “Halo” songstress, 42, and the New York native were seen smiling from inside a Tea Around Town tour bus as they took in the holiday decor across the Big Apple.

Beyoncé wore a black top with a matching head wrap and sunglasses while daughter Blue Ivy smiled in a white sweater.

The rapper’s mother, Gloria Carter, also shined on the second floor of the pink double-decker bus, wearing an all-yellow outfit and a matching yellow fascinator.

The couple enjoyed the festive sightseeing alongside their children and other family members, making sure to hit holiday hot spots such as Rockefeller Center’s iconic Christmas tree and Saks Fifth Avenue’s over-the-top window decorations.

The family of five even made their way around Times Square and Bryant Park during their daytime tour.

Tina Knowles Claps Back at 'Ignorant, Racist' Comments About Beyoncé's Film Premiere Look

Klaudia//December 2, 2023
Tina Knowles has strong words for social media users who criticized Beyoncé’s complexion and styling at the premiere of her Renaissance World Tour concert film.

On Tuesday, Knowles, 69, shared a lengthy Instagram post calling out those who accused her daughter, 42, of “lightening her skin.” The caption was coupled with a video of Beyoncé throughout the years. However, the cover shot was at the center of the debate.

“Came across this today and decided to post it after seeing all of the stupid ignorant self, hating racist statements about her, lightening her skin, and wearing platinum hair wanting to be white,” Knowles began in the upload, which was set to Beyoncé’s song “Brown Skin Girl.”

The main image on the post was a picture of the Grammy winner at the Los Angeles premiere of her Renaissance World Tour concert film at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater on Saturday night.

Standing in front of a silver backdrop for pictures at the event, Beyoncé wore a custom silver chainmail gown by Versace. She accessorized the look with matching silver opera gloves and silver heeled sandals.

The "Break My Soul" singer also rocked platinum, long blonde hair styled in a sleek middle part.

Knowles’ message continued, condemning those who entertained a "stupid narrative with hate and jealousy.”
