Proving yet again that she is as gracious as she is talented, nice gal Beyonce has given our own Jessica Mauboy her seal of approval. While most American superstars rarely deign to even meet the local act on tour, Ms B called Mauboy to her dressing room as soon as the 21-year-old pop princess had finished her opening set of the first show in Melbourne last week. And Ms Knowles had done her homework on the former Australian Idol, asking the 21-year-old about her hometown of Darwin and her cultural heritage, reports Kathy McCabe. Having being told by her crew about Mauboy's powerhouse voice, a hooded Beyonce checked out her performance at the Brisbane concert. Since then Team Beyonce have treated the Aussie singer like one of the family, raving about her voice and offering to co-write or work with her on future videos.
Hooded Beyonce sidles in

Under the cover of darkness and in sunglasses, ripped white jeans and with a dark hooded jumper, popstar Beyonce Knowles sidled into Adelaide. It was a stark contrast from the all-empowering diva who dresses for the stage in a crystal corset. Rumoured to have been unwell on the Australian leg of her tour, Knowles made sure her visit to Adelaide was a fleeting one, touching down at the airport just two hours before she was due on stage at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Shielding her curvaceous form from prying eyes, Knowles stepped into a dark Audi with tinted windows and sped away. She arrived in the chartered flight terminal at James Schofield Drive about 6.45pm and was believed to have been driven directly to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. If I Were a Boy was welcomed with a loud roar before the over powering bass boomed, shaking not only hearts but the massive screens projecting her performance. Knowles then performed an empassioned snippet of Alanis Morrisette's You Oughtta Know as her hair flowed through the fans beneath her feet like a scene from many of her stunning film clips - leading to believe that Kanye West's childish claims earlier this month were true. Despite the stunning visuals and booming sound, unlike other pop acts such as Pink and Britney Spears - all eyes were on the performer and not the luxurious staging," I am here to empower women" she said before introfucing her all female band before the heartbreaking Me Myself and I. Beyonce overwhelmed a young Sydney beats-based trio by randomly turning up at their Sunday gig and taking in the show from the front row. The singer and entourage took a cue from Pink by going for a cycle around Sydney, and stopped at the Cruise bar in The Rocks after hearing the vocals of Evelyn Duprai from the Eon Beats Trio drifting on the wind. "It was pretty daunting . . . when she walked in with her group and took the table two metres in front of us," said the group's DJ Jeremy Kirschner. The trio was playing at the bar's inaugural Sassy Sunday sessions featuring groove acts led by female vocalists. Beyonce's group had sangria and ordered "just about everything on the (lunch) menu".
Pop diva Beyonce Knowles has come out in the aid of X-factor winner Alexandra Burke by letting the upcoming star borrow "her people". The 'Single Ladies' hitmaker has become heavily involved with Alexandra after performing a duet with her on the final of the British reality TV show 'The X Factor'. Alexandra has revealed that Beyonce has been supporting her throughout the recording of her debut album 'Overcome' in the US, Daily Star reported. "She's such a lovely woman and now I'm working with all her people. In the studio in New York I was singing and I opened my eyes and my girl Beyonce was standing there. I went to cuddle her and cried. She said, 'You can't cry, we're friends now.' And I cried some more. I was like, 'You can't tell me things like that. You're Beyonce'," the 21-year-old singer said. Alexandra, however did not reveal whether the former 'Destiny's Child' star will appear on her album, but she hopes to perform with her pretty soon. "I can't confirm anything yet, but I'm hoping to be on the European leg of Beyonce's tour," Alexandra added.

There wasn't a dry eye in the house at Beyonce's gig in Sydney on Friday night - when she serenaded a poorly little girl. The kind-hearted singer made young fan Chelsea's dream come true as she plucked her from the audience and ushered her up on stage. Little Chelsea is suffering from Leukaemia and looked overwhelmed as Beyonce beautifully belted out Halo.

I Am... Tour in Brisbane

Kelly Clarkson is desperate to silence critics accusing her of “ripping off” Beyonce’s hit Halo - she is reworking the offending song on her live tour. The Since U Been Gone hitmaker claimed songwriter/producer Ryan Tedder sent her the track that became Halo without telling her he’d already offered it to Beyonce. Clarkson later came under fire after Sony Music bosses released her version, Already Gone, as a single - despite her desperate pleas to shelve it. But the American Idol winner is making the best of the situation by altering the arrangement for fans who come to see her on her upcoming tour. She tells, “Unfortunately, it comes out where a lot of songs sound similar and, I don’t know, I want to sound a little authentic, so we changed it. It’s a little acoustic, and then it breaks out into this big, beautiful, diva-esque thing.” The 27 year old has since set aside her differences with Tedder: “I have a lot of songs that I’ve done with Ryan, and they all sound very different. It’s just, unfortunately, in that situation, they sound exactly the same. But our melodies are different. Beyonce and my melodies are different (on the songs).”
Beyonce wowed Sydney over the weekend with her two mega-watt shows but belting out those songs seemed to take a toll on the talented entertainer. Insiders at her Sydney hotel report that the singer, believed to be battling a cold, was a keen fan of the chef's chicken soup to soothe her throat - with the broth being ordered into the singer's room at 2am on Wednesday and Thursday before Friday and Saturday nights' sensational concerts. Meanwhile, the spaghetti bolognaise was a hit with her carb-loading crew of bodyguards. After impressing Sydney concertgoers the stunning singer is set to wow other cities on her 10-day Australian tour.

Beyoncé has been nominated for a BEFFTA (Black Entertainment Film, Fashion, Television and Arts) award for "Best International Act". The event is held on the 17th October in London, but voting ends Monday 12th October. Click here to vote.
Sandwiched between a supermodel-turned-reality show host and a smart-aleck political commentator, Gov. Ed Rendell this week found himself listed among "The 75 Best People in the World," as determined by Esquire magazine. "I always thought Esquire magazine had terrific judgment," Rendell said through a spokesman after learning he landed at No. 39, right after Heidi Klum of "Project Runway" but before Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert. Heading the list is actor Matt Damon, followed by Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and singer Beyonce Knowles.
Pink will never be picture-perfect Beyoncé. When it comes to the two pop stars, Pink claims the difference is black and well, Pink. “The best I can gather is that Australia likes their artists to be rugged and raw and authentic, and America likes their artists to be glamorous and a little more packaged and glossy—like the difference between me and Beyoncé,” the “Sober” singer tells Rolling Stone in the magazine’s September 17 issue. Although she respects Beyoncé, Pink says she lacks the polish of her peer. “She’s beautiful, she’s multitalented, and she lives this jet-set lifestyle,” she explains. “And then there’s me: You would picture me out in a field boxing a kangaroo with makeup running down my face, crying about something that happened a week ago.”
Caregivers step out of the metaphorical spotlight so their loved ones' wants and needs can take center stage. This is no metaphor for Beyonce. Her gracious act of literally sharing her spotlight with Taylor Swift is recognized with the Caregiver Club Hero Award. For those of you caregivers who are so busy you didn't get any contact with the outside world this week, here's the story. Taylor Swift was on the stage accepting an MTV Video Music Award when her speech was interrupted by Kanye West—who voiced his opinion that the award should have gone to Beyonce. Later in the show, Beyonce went to the stage to accept her own award for Video of the Year. The 28-year-old said, "Thank you. I remember being 17 years old, up for my first MTV Award with Destiny's Child and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life. So I'd like Taylor to come out and have her moment" Beyonce and Taylor shared several warm embraces. In the following days, the news was filled with Kanye and Taylor. Kanye offered Taylor an apology, which Taylor accepted. As with so many acts of caregiving, Beyonce's role in this drama didn't make it to most conversations about the episode. Beyonce's generosity did not go unnoticed in caregiving circles. She offers a shining example about what caregivers know to be true: when caregivers step out of the limelight, they can shine even more brightly.
R&B superstar Beyonce has confirmed she will play the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Oct 25. With this Beyonce concert, the statement is that Malaysia is finally moving up the ranks in presenting A-list international pop concerts in this region. Beyonce has sold a whopping 75 million records worldwide with hits like Crazy in Love, Irreplaceable, Single Ladies and Halo. "The Beautiful Life: TBL" star Sara Paxton wasn't amused by Kanye West's stage invasion during Taylor Swift's Best Female Video acceptance speech. But Paxton does think it was quite gracious of Beyoncé to give Swift a second chance to thank her fans for her Moonman. "I feel bad for Tay Tay Swift," Paxton told MTV News on the red carpet at an Us Weekly party on Wednesday. "Why do I keep calling her that? No, we're not , but I just call her that 'cause I love her so much. She's so cute I want to put her in my pocket. But Beyoncé, what a classy lady. She's classy. What a class act." At the same Us Weekly party, Cobra Starship, who were at the VMAs when the whole incident went down, said that they are still trying to process just what happened that night. "I totally stopped tweeting for about 30 seconds and paid attention," frontman Gabe Saporta said about the incident. "It was kind of surreal. I thought it was planned for a minute." Guitarist Ryland Blackinton, however, was less surprised, since it wasn't the first time Kanye's acted up at an awards show. "I wondered if it was going to happen, because he did it at the Awards too, and I've watched that video a couple times when Justice won the award," he explained. "And I wasn't as surprised, but it was surreal to see it happen right in front of you."
