Britney Spears Loves Beyonce

Klaudia//August 1, 2011
Many artists aspire to have a career like Britney Spears. Earlier this year, she released her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale, she’s currently on her seventh concert tour and recently she picked up two more MTV Video Music Award nominations for Best Pop Video and Best Choreography (that’s 28 total VMA noms!). Not a bad resume for someone that’s not even 30. Yet, with so many artists wanting to emulate Spears, we wanted to know who inspires her. So when we sat down with Brit recently, she revealed which artists she admires. “To this day still, Madonna. I’m a huge fan of her,” Brit said about the pop queen, who she infamously shared a kiss with at the 2003 MTV VMAs and collaborated with on the hit song “Me Against the Music.” But that’s not all. Britney used to un-break her heart listening to a little Toni Braxton. “I grew up listening to Toni Braxton,” Spears told us, “and now I think she has a reality show that she does. I love her.” (She’s right, Braxton stars with her sisters on “Braxton Family Values.”) Britney’s love for divas doesn’t even end there – she’s also a big fan of Beyonce. “Anytime Beyonce performs, it’s a really big spectacle,” Britney said. “I’d love to see her perform. That would be fun.” Since Britney is such a huge fan of Beyonce, is there a chance we could see these girls collaborate? “That would be fun, that’s a good idea!” Spears said.

Kelly Rowland Tears Up Over Beyonce's Kind Words

Klaudia//July 31, 2011
It's a good thing Kelly Rowland wears waterproof mascara, because a routine visit to Access Hollywood got emotional for the "Motivation" singer today when host Billy Bush showed her a surprise video message from her best friend and former bandmate Beyonce. In the clip, Bey gushes, "My Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, I love you so much. I'm so proud of you, your album is incredible... I'm so happy I just got to see you in Paris, I mean London! And I'm very proud of you and all of your success, you're such a beautiful woman and I can't wait to see you again." Rowland dabbed at tears as she recalled her close friendship with both her former Destiny's Child members, Beyonce and Michelle Williams, saying "It's so great, just the bond that we have. I love my sisters so much." Williams and Bey showed their love for their sister Kelly on Thursday night, at the launch party for her album Here I Am in New York.

How Beyonce helps Kim Kardashian keep her killer curves

Klaudia//July 26, 2011
In a town of waif-like women, the hourglass figure of curvy reality star Kim Kardashian must stand out a mile. The Hollywood-based star has attracted much press for her curves - and almost as much attention for the subsequent weight loss that took her from a U.S. size 6 to a size 2 last year. But as she prepares for her upcoming nuptials to NBA star Kris Humphries and has the final touches put to her figure-hugging Vera Wang dress, Kim Kardashian couldn't care less about negative attention. Dismissing her critics, Kim says she embraces her curves and 'loves her butt'. 'I've never aspired to be a size zero,' she says in this month's Health & Fitness magazine. 'Dress sizes are just a number. I love the curvy look, and I especially love my butt.' 'I do squats and lunges to accentuate it.' Keeping her voluptuous figure trim does not come without hard work. But despite her impending wedding giving her more drive to stay in shape, Kim admits she's not always in the mood to exercise, and has to resort to her secret weapon to stay motivated: channeling the bootylicious body of singer Beyoncé. 'When I can't be bothered I just think Beyoncé, Beyoncé, Beyoncé! I think her curves are beautiful.' As well as watching what she eats, Kim trains with A-list trainer Gunnar Peterson four times a week - the same personal trainer who has worked with J-Lo and Angelina Jolie. Kim is put through her paces with a regime focusing on strength moves mixed with cardio intervals. 'It can be hard with all the travelling to keep my workouts consistent. When I can't make it to the gym, I'll do lunges and abdominal exercises in my room.' The star says she eats healthily - she loves salads with chicken, salmon and turkey burgers - 'without the bun' - but allows herself the odd treat. 'I'd go mad otherwise,' she admits.

Adam Lambert talks Beyonce's new 'refreshing' album, '4'

Klaudia//June 30, 2011
The superstar singer, Adam Lambert, like other celebrities, has taken to Twitter to voice his opinion about Beyonce's new album, 4. Ke$ha praises Beyonce: "I’m a massive fan!"

Klaudia//June 24, 2011
Whiskey-loving, party-starting pop-rapper Ke$ha is swapping the LA club scene this weekend for the muddy fields of Glastonbury. We caught up with the TiK ToK singer to find out what she has in store for festival goers, as well as her plans for her next album and why she’s collecting fan’s teeth.

You’re about to take the stage at Glastonbury. How are you feeling about performing at such an iconic festival?

I’m so excited about Glastonbury! It’s always epitomised success in my mind. It’s really exciting. I’ve wanted to play it for ages.

Considering it's traditionally been a rock and indie festival, do you think the fact that more dance and pop acts are performing means the genres are being taken more seriously these days?

I’d never really thought of it like that but perhaps, and I love that because writing a pop song that can be successful all over the world in countries that don’t even speak English and connect to people. I have respect for people who can write amazing pop songs in the same way that I have respect for somebody who can write incredible indie music and rock’n’roll. I think there’s a craft to writing all different kinds of music.

What do you think about Beyonce headlining?

I’m a massive fan! I’ve always wanted to see her in concert, actually. Oh my god, her Billboard performance? Incredible.

'Beyonce will shut Glastonbury down'

Klaudia//June 24, 2011
Tinchy Stryder and Chipmunk have told Capital that Beyonce is likely to have something special planned for her forthcoming Glastonbury performance. The singer is due to close the three day festival on Sunday (June 26th) for what will be her first ever show at the event. 'I think she (Beyonce) is going to shut the whole place down, she's really going to have something special (planned),' Tinchy said. 'I think it's going to be good, as a singer and performer everything is in check and you can tell she's a hard worker,' he added. Chipmunk meanwhile believes Beyonce's performance will be similar to her recent Billboard Music Awards show which saw her bring an army of dancers onstage. 'I think she is still Wonder Woman in the flesh,' he said. 'I watched her performance on the Billboard Awards and I was astounded. If she brings that presence over to the UK it's shutdown season.'

Lady Gaga calls Beyoncé the 'most awesome chick on the planet’

Klaudia//May 27, 2011
Lady Gaga’s promotional blitz for her third studio album, Born This Way, continued Wednesday, when she stopped by BET’s 106 & Park to take part in an interview and interact with her “Little Monsters.” Gaga showed how much she treasures her relationship with her fans by displaying a book created by a young girl in the audience, who was invited up to the stage to get a hug. The “Born This Way” singer also took the time to praise Beyoncé, calling her “the most awesome chick on the planet.” “I say it all the time, but I don’t have a lot of friends in this business,” she candidly revealed, according to Neon Limelight. “I don’t like Hollywood. I feel like people are super fake sometimes. is not fake at all.” She added, “She’s 100 percent genuine. She’s a good person, and I love working with her so much because we just pee our pants laughing and have the best time. She’s just amazing.” When Gaga was asked whether fans can expect any future collaborations between two of the music industry’s most powerful females, she said, “Well, we could make good babies, her and I.”

Lady Gaga Recalls Beyonce's Inspiration In 'Inside The Outside'

Klaudia//May 27, 2011
Sometime around 2006, Lady Gaga wasn't Lady Gaga. Sure, she was using the name back then, but she was still little more than a Lower East Side oddity, not the iconic, globe-spanning superstar she has since become. And so, she was understandably elated to score a meeting — and a subsequent deal — with Island Def Jam impresario L.A. Reid. But after a few months, for reasons never really explained, her phone calls stopped being returned and she was summarily dropped from the label. In hindsight, it was just a minor bump on her road to stardom, but at the time, Gaga was crushed. It's a pain she's never quite forgotten, as she explained in the just-premiered "Lady Gaga: Inside the Outside" documentary. "I remember when I got dropped from my first record label, I just said, 'Mommy, let's go see Grandma,' " Gaga recalled. "And I cried on my grandmother's couch. She looked at me, and she goes, 'I'm going to let you cry for the rest of the day, and then you have to stop crying, and you have to go kick some ass.' " Devastated, but determined, Gaga set forth to do just that. And in addition to her grandmother's words, she drew inspiration from a rather unlikely source — one that would also prove oddly prescient in the years to come. "You know, I've never told Beyoncé this, but I remember laying on my grandmother's couch crying, and a Destiny's Child video came on," she said. "I remember watching Beyoncé thinking, 'Oh, she's a star. I want that. I want to be on MTV.' And now I'm in music videos with Beyoncé." It's because of those early rejections that Gaga has learned to savor her success. After all, she's certainly proved her naysayers wrong. "The commercial success that I've had has been mind-blowing," she said. "I'm the girl that everyone said 'No' and shook their head and said 'I don't get it.' " Well, it seems that millions of people around the world "get it" now.

'American Idol' Lauren reveals Beyoncé praise

Klaudia//May 27, 2011
American Idol's Lauren Alaina has shared the words of praise she received from Beyoncé during the season ten finale. Beyoncé performed her new single '1+1' during the two-hour show, and also took to the stage with some of this season's female finalists for a medley of her greatest hits. "She's probably the most uplifting person I've ever met," Alaina told American Idol host Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show. "She's so sweet. I was going to sing with her but didn't have time to learn the dance, so I wasn't in the number, but she said I was amazing and I'd have a great career and she was proud of me. It's really cool." Alaina lost the American Idol season ten crown to Scotty McCreery after more than 122 million votes were cast by the American public, setting a new record for the largest number of votes. More than 730 million votes were cast across the season. The 16-year-old also performed with her idol Carrie Underwood during last night's show, joining forces with the season four champion for a rendition of her hit track 'Before He Cheats'. "She's so cool," said Alaina, who has already described the duet with Underwood as "amazing". "When I ran into her I started crying like a little kid... She is so beautiful and so talented and I just love her."

Klaudia//May 20, 2011
Grammy Award winner Chrisette Michele has no shame in voicing her love for Beyonce. Speaking with Singersroom at the recent 2011 SESAC Awards, Chrisette let it be known that she was a fan of the Pop/R&B diva and how she goes about her business. “Beyonce can’t do any wrong by me, Unfortunately fortunately I’m one of her biggest fans so I don’t know if that’s good or bad,” Chrisette tells Singersroom. “But I will tell you one thing that I think is really interesting, that terrapin that she has on on the cover of the single , I thought that was so cool. I think that she switches it up whenever she feels like it and does what she wants to do and she does it in a star like manner. Everything that she does is tasteful so I love Beyonce.

Placido Domingo praises Beyonce as one of his favorite artists

Klaudia//May 14, 2011
“My favourite composers? Verdi, Puccini, Wagner, Mozart and Beethoven. How different those five men were and how sublime all their music remains!” But he has popular tastes as well and the list of non-classical singers he admires includes “Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Céline Dion and Beyoncé. Yes, Beyoncé! She is one of the greatest we have today.”

The Kills Say Beyonce Puts 'Rock Bands to Shame'

Klaudia//May 6, 2011
Beyonce Knowles may be really busy lately what with a new record coming out soon, but that didn't stop her from taking the night off on April 29 to catch a Kills concert in New York. "She was the first person I saw when we came on stage," guitarist Jamie Hince tells Spinner. "Someone told us that she had been listening to our ['Blood Pressures'] record and that she was going to come to our show." After the show, the pop star went backstage to sing her praise to Hince and bandmate Alison Mosshart -- and, it turns out, the love is definitely reciprocated. "Her music's awesome!" says Mosshart. Although the two sound nothing alike, musically, Hince says he sees similarities. "If you listen to 'Single Ladies,' there's definitely a similarity to playground songs, and that was my big inspiration -- all those playground songs -- for , 'Midnight Boom.' So when I heard 'Single Ladies' afterward it was like, 'Oh, she's doing the 'Midnight Boom'! It's similar!" Hince also adds that the both of them share a common interest in the use of drum machines. "I like rhythm, I like drum beats and I like her take on R&B; she has a rhythm to her vocal delivery that's amazing." If you're looking for an impressive show, Hince recommends Beyonce over rock bands. "You see all these rock bands and you think they're really it and really happening but they barely move onstage, with their nonchalance and not caring," says Hince. "Go and see Beyonce and Jay Z and every single second has been taken care of where there's something going on; they put rock bands to shame." The Kills aren't particularly sure what they personally bring to their own shows ("I don't know what we bring to live shows because I can't really see us," Hince says) but surely, they're not bringing you the same show as Beyonce. "It's not the same sort of thing," says Hince. "It's not choreographed like a Beyonce show or a James Brown show used to be. Our show is like soul music; it just feels like we're playing from our souls and we happen to move around."

Jennifer Hudson Clarifies Comments About Beyoncé And Rihanna

Klaudia//April 24, 2011
Jennifer Hudson is defending herself after an alleged insult she made about Beyoncé and Rihanna. Britain's The Daily Mirror quoted the singer as saying, "I won't be taking my clothes off - no way at all. Beyoncé and Rihanna can have that. I like to cover up more. I won't do Playboy." After a backlash among fans on Twitter, Hudson tweeted herself: "I think yal know me better than that. I love both Beyonce n Rihanna. I hate when people try to be messy. B n Ri know me better than that 2."

Labrinth 'turned down Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj'

Klaudia//April 21, 2011
Labrinth has said he turned down the opportunity to work with Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj to concentrate on writing his debut solo album. The singer, who co-wrote Tinie Tempah's Pass Out and had a number two hit with Let The Sun Shine last year, said: "These guys have their careers, my one is still on its way." He admitted the decision had not been easy. "I'm not just looking to be famous and attach myself to famous names. I want to make history in the business in terms of creativity." Labrinth, who was speaking to Newsbeat at the MusicConnex event in London, said: "It's not very easy to do that when you're trying to get somewhere. "I could make a big song for Beyoncé but that's not saying it's going to be another creative Pass Out. "If you're confident with something - which I'm confident with my thing - you can make that time out to make sure what you're doing is perfected."

Darren Criss: 'I owe Beyoncé an apology'

Klaudia//April 21, 2011
Darren Criss has joked that he owes Beyoncé an apology after covering a Destiny's Child song. The Glee star performed a rendition of the group's hit 'Bills, Bills, Bills' for the show's Dalton Academy Warbler's album, a choice which he later worried was not up to par with the original. "I feel like I have to write her an apology now," he told Access Hollywood. "I mean, come on, Beyoncé's the queen of pop music. She's the queen. If you could run for queen... I would put her name in the suggestion box. She's incredible. I tried to do it as best as I could." He added that he can't wait to be part of The Warblers as they join the upcoming Glee tour, adding: "It's just been really a treat to do any of this. Rock 'n' roll, man. Bring it on!" Criss recently confessed that he would consider starring in a Glee spinoff which focused on his character Blaine.

Adele Says Beyonce Helped Her Overcome Anxiety

Klaudia//April 14, 2011
While she was besting Britney Spears on the American album charts and helping to lead a new British invasion, U.K. soul pop diva Adele also landed the cover of the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone magazine. And though the cover marks yet another milestone of her rising fame, Adele isn't immune to some of the same fears as the rest of us, say, stage fright. Despite her calm assurance in the studio and apparent ease at coping with her sudden success, the Grammy winner told the magazine that she still has nervous nights. "I'm scared of audiences," she said. "One show in Amsterdam I was so nervous, I escaped out the fire exit. I've thrown up a couple of times. Once in Brussels, I projectile vomited on someone. I just gotta bear it. But I don't like touring. I have anxiety attacks a lot." And it's not just audiences that freak her out, it's other celebrities. But the singer revealed that she has drawn some strength from an unlikely source: Beyoncé. "I was about to meet Beyoncé and I had a full-blown anxiety attack," Adele said. "Then she popped in looking gorgeous, and said, 'You're amazing! When I listen to you I feel like I'm listening to God.' " When she later found herself on a balcony, crying hysterically, Adele asked herself, " 'What would Sasha Fierce do?' That's when Sasha Carter was born." The composite of Sasha Fierce and late country icon June Carter is pulled out whenever Adele needs to give herself a shot of confidence.
