Boots Posts Snippet of Unreleased Beyoncé Track

Klaudia//August 21, 2016
Blame Instagram, if you must. On August 9, Boots, the producer behind Beyoncé‘s 2013 self-titled album, was recording an Instagram video while riding a car around New York City. Playing in the background is an unreleased Beyoncé song, as heard in a four-second snippet. Apparently Boots did this by accident.

“that moment when u didn’t realize Instagram records audio from your phone even though the camera app doesn’t,” he says on Twitter. “accidents in the 21st century.”

Of course Boots didn’t say when this Beyoncé track was recorded, or to which project it belongs, or even whether he is responsible. But he does only have one production credit in Lemonade, for “6 Inch” featuring The Weeknd. Given how close he and Beyoncé are now, it seems possible that he worked on much more than that.

“That’s one of the most rewarding friendships and work relationships of my life,” Boots said of Beyoncé in a Facebook Q&A. Hear the snippet of the unreleased track below.

Klaudia//October 4, 2015
A preview of a Drake and Beyonce collaboration titled “Can I” leaked back in May, and the official version of the track has finally arrived.

The full song, which features Beyonce repeating the phrase “Can I, baby?” as Drake implores, “Before I turn the lights out, tell me who the f--- you wanna be,” debuted via Saturday night’s (Oct. 3) OVO Sound Radio show on Beats 1.

The pair previously worked together on “Mine,” which appears on Beyonce’s 2013 self-titled album. “Can I” is rumored to be off of Drake’s upcoming release, Views From the 6. His surprise album with Future, What a Time to Be Alive, charted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in its first week.

Listen to Chris Brown Join Beyoncé on 'Jealous' Remix

Klaudia//April 4, 2015
Beyoncé and Chris Brown is not a team up anyone saw coming, but out of the blue Thursday a remix of Queen Bey's "Jealous" turned up online featuring Brown's distinctive voice.

"Queen Bey, I’m trippin' 'cause I'm a little insecure when your phone go off,” he sings, opening his verse on the fragile track.

The reason for the remix was unclear until Brown confirmed it was for "the Beyoncé collaboration album but it was never used," by which we're assuming it's the platinum edition of her self-titled album that came out last November.

"I did the jealous remix some months ago for the Beyoncé collaboration album but it was never used. Glad you guys get to hear it" — Chris Brown (@chrisbrown) April 3, 2015

Nicki Minaj Announces "Feeling Myself" As The Next Single

Klaudia//December 26, 2014
In news that should surprise absolutely no one, Nicki Minaj has selected Beyonce-featuring jam “Feeling Myself” as the next single from The Pinkprint. “Radio has really gravitated to their own songs, like I’m guessing ‘Feeling Myself’ is the next urban song,” the rap diva told Hot 97. “They picked it on their own.” It’s an absolute no-brainer given the success of their previous collaboration, “Flawless,” on urban radio and the song’s popularity on iTunes. In fact, “Feeling Myself” is currently best-selling track from The Pinkprint — even ahead of the femcee’s official new single “Only.” Listen to the interview below.
