The Pepsi Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show just got way more exciting.

As if it wasn't enough that Beyoncé dropped a brand new song and music video on Saturday, sources confirm to ET that the singer will be performing the surprise single, titled "Formation," on Sunday during the Pepsi Halftime Show at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Judging from what we've already seen in the music video, which was released on the 34-year-old singer's website, we can already tell it's going to be epic.

Coldplay won't perform 'Hymn For The Weekend with Beyonce at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show.

The 'Single Ladies' singer provided uncredited guest vocals on the group's latest single, and though she'll be joining them on stage at the sporting spectacular on Sunday (02.07.16), it won't be on that track as the band feel it is too new.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday (02.04.16), frontman Chris Martin said: "It only just came out, so I don't think it would be quite right. We love Beyonce's music. She's one of our all-time favourites, and she's one of the greatest performers I've ever witnessed.

Everyone who does this show knows it's the biggest honour."
Naughty Boy has hinted that Beyonce could be a surprise guests at the Brits this year - after their single Runnin’ featuring Arrow Benjamin was nominated for Best Video.

The DJ tells the Mirror: “I’ve spoken to Beyonce about it and she’s mad excited about it.

“She’s always invited to the Brits.”

The 2016 BRIT Awards will be held on February 24 at The O2 in London.

It's official: Beyoncé is returning to the Super Bowl.

Pepsi, the sponsor of the halftime show, confirmed Thursday that the 20-time Grammy Award winner will be taking the stage alongside Coldplay at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. Feb. 7. "Beyoncé has been in the talks to perform for sometime but it was all top secret," a source tells E! News exclusively. "Beyoncé is very excited to be at this years big Super Bowl. She can't wait."

Beyoncé first performed the national anthem before Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004 at the Reliant Stadium in Houston. She returned in 2013 to headline the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show, held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. Beyoncé sang her biggest solo hits, including "Run the World (Girls)," "Love on Top," "Crazy in Love," "End of Time," "Baby Boy," "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" and "Halo." She also invited Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams to join her in performing Destiny's Child's "Bootylicious" and "Independent Women Part I."

The performance resulted in a blackout and a record number of tweets.

Super Bowl 50 should be even bigger. "Performing in the past at the Super Bowl was one of her favorite performances," a source tells E! News exclusively. "She loved the energy of the crowd. She is a big fan of Coldplay and thinks it's going to be a fantastic performance by both of them."

Beyoncé, who is friends with frontman Chris Martin and his wife Gwyneth Patlrow, has been on the same bill as Coldplay a number of times, most recently at the 2015 Global Citizen Festival in New York's Central Park. Beyoncé and Coldplay also collaborated on the band's seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams.

Additional performers for Super Bowl 50 are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Coldplay will headline the Super Bowl 50 halftime show on February 7 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, The Wall Street Journal reports. They could have a very special guest for the show in Beyoncé, who is "in talks" to make an appearance, according to the WSJ.

Beyoncé played the Super Bowl halftime show fairly recently, headlining back in 2013. The singer is featured on "Hymn for the Weekend" from Coldplay's album A Head Full of Dreams, which is out today.
