Beyoncé To Serenade Michelle Obama For 50th Birthday?
First Lady Michelle Obama turned 50 today, and proudly flashed her newly-issued AARP card via Twitter with a caption that shared her excitement of joining Barack in the 50+ club. FLOTUS will be embracing her half-century milestone with a birthday celebration at the White House this Saturday, Jan. 18.
“I have never felt more confident in myself, more clear on who I am as a woman,” she told Parade magazine about approaching the big 5-0.
Details about the celebration are being kept hush-hush, but CNN reports that the first lady will be serenaded by Beyoncé for the occasion. Beyoncé performed the Etta James classic “At Last” at President Obama’s first inaugural ball and teamed up with Michelle Obama for her “Let’s Move” initiative to reduce obesity and get kids active. The two powerful women are called “BFFs,” but in this case, BFF stands for “Bigtime Famous Friends.”
