Girls Aloud's Nicola – I love Beyonce and Rihanna

Klaudia//September 18, 2011
I caught up with Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts this week as she prepared to release her cracking new single Lucky Day today. It turns out pop superstar Beyoncé is a big inspiration. Nic told me: “I’m overly obsessed with Beyoncé. When I have a decision to make I say: ‘What would she do?’.” But it’s not just Beyoncé getting the lady love from Miss Roberts – Rihanna wasn’t far behind. Nicola added: “Rihanna’s perfect in every way. I’ve got a major girl crush on her.”

Klaudia//September 9, 2011

The 30-year-old, who recently married Kris Humphries, said that looking at the Best Thing I Never Had singer's body has inspired her to work out more. Kim told British New! magazine: 'It's no secret that I'm a huge admirer of Beyonce. 'She has one of the best bodies in showbiz and it motivated me to work out. And all of her albums are memorable, I just couldn't possibly choose a number one.'

Gwyneth 'Very Happy' for Pregnant Pal Beyonce

Klaudia//September 7, 2011
Contagion star Gwyneth Paltrow celebrated with gal pal Beyonce in Venice, Italy over the weekend for the Grammy winner's big 30th birthday, and she had some choice words for the new mom-to-be. "I think motherhood is the biggest blessing of all time and it gives your life real meaning," she told our Nancy O'Dell. "It's always interesting when you're a woman with success and you've achieved a lot, and then you have a baby and you realize everything you thought was an achievement really is nothing until you have a kid. I think that that will be her experience, and it's wonderful to see her so happy right now, and so looking forward to the experience. I'm very happy for them."

Debbie Harry talks about Beyonce

Klaudia//September 5, 2011
In a recent interview with New York magazine, you said you were disappointed that you never became a megastar like Beyoncé. But, you're the frontwoman of Blondie. Do you have any other regrets?

I hope people don't misunderstand that. I'm very happy with... what we've done. I always felt I was more comfortable being a cult , but the temptation to be such a great entertainer and performer like Beyoncé so fantastic. I would adore doing some of that stuff. Her track record with songs is phenomenal; I wish we had as many hits. We've always walked a sort of delicate line, between pop fodder and having an underground identity. But we're definitely a rock band more than anything else.

Nicki Minaj & J. Cole Are Overjoyed That Beyonce Is Pregnant

Klaudia//August 31, 2011
Kelly Rowland isn’t the only person who is excited for Beyonce‘s big pregnancy announcement! The Boombox caught up with Nicki Minaj and J. Cole after the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards and got their thoughts on Bey and Jay-Z‘s baby news. In her lovable outrageous fashion, Nicki Minaj called first dibs on the godmother role. “My baby Beyonce! I will be the godmother,” Minaj told The Boombox with a grin. Minaj is friends with the couple, and although we’re sure that she will get an invite to the Christening, we’re not sure if she is godmother material. After all, the fairy godmother character in her ‘Moment 4 Life’ video would certainly scare a small child. Rapper J. Cole, who is signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label, was also excited for the couple. “ incredible,” he told The Boombox. “I feel like the whole world feels like we having a baby. How wild is that? You can’t help but smile, it’s incredible. It’s crazy. The way they told the world was so gangsta and it’s so not even their style, which made it even better. They’re so not flashy with their news but I feel like it’s cool that they shared that with the world. They knew that it was important news for the world, to us, the fans.” J. Cole also said that Jay and Bey will probably name their baby ‘Brooklyn Carter’ if it’s a girl. It’s a fair assumption too, since Jay-Z himself rapped that ‘Brooklyn’ is the name he would give to his daughter on his 2007 track ‘Hello Brooklyn.’ Congrats again to Beyonce and Jay-Z on their first baby! That will be one gorgeous and talented child!

Beyoncé: "I Think She'll Be an Incredible Mother!"

Klaudia//August 30, 2011
Destiny's Child is now all about Beyoncé's child. Kelly Rowland says she's known for a while that Beyoncé was pregnant with her and Jay-Z's first baby... "I think she'll be an incredible mother," Rowland told us at the House of Hype's post-VMAs party at the SLS hotel. "She's always been motherly. I think that takes after so many traits from her mother . I just think it's going to be so natural for her. It's natural for her now. I can't believe this to this day." Earlier in the night, before Beyoncé announced the big news while having her photo taken on the black carpet, Rowland was tightlipped about the music power couple's secret. When told that Beyoncé's sound check was a closed set, Rowland smiled, "It should be a surprise to everyone." It certainly was.

Guy Sebastian from X Factor Australia talks about Beyonce

Klaudia//August 24, 2011
The singer-songwriter has worked with some big names in the business but even he was star-struck by Beyonce Knowles - who found him on YouTube - and was a mentor for his group in the latest season of X Factor. ''She was brilliant … she was meant to be there for 10 minutes and she spent over an hour talking to the contestants … even for the people getting knocked out she was amazing.''

Mick Jagger praises Beyonce

Klaudia//August 24, 2011
Pop & Hiss: What are you listening to these days for pleasure?

Mick Jagger: If you’re an actual musician, you have to do all kinds of stuff: You have to vaguely listen to what’s going on so that you at least know. ‘Have you heard Beyoncé’s new single?’ You can’t just say no. And, yeah, I have downloaded Beyoncé’s new single. And that’s a great record. But then there are the things you buy that you’ve bought before. I just bought “The Best of Howlin’ Wolf, Vol. 2,” and there’s stuff that wasn’t on volume one; it’s just as good but it’s a little more rare — well, not “rare,” but it’s nice to have them all in one place.

Dannii Minogue: Beyoncé helps me feel glam

Klaudia//August 18, 2011
Dannii Minogue loves being photographed to Beyoncé Knowles hits, because they “scream lip gloss and high heels”. The Australian star was recently announced as the new face of world cosmetics brand ModelCo, and as a result will appear in a number of ad campaigns for the company. The 39-year-old beauty has recalled a recent shoot which ended up in her having a “musical stand-off” with the photography crew because they dared to turn off Beyoncé’s hits in the background. “At a shoot the music started out with Beyoncé and I was in girly heaven, shaking my booty and totally getting into the ModelCo vibe. Then all of a sudden it switched to heavy rock music,” she explained to mydaily.co.uk. “It's always the photographer's assistants who pick the tunes and I had to say to the crew: ‘Hello? It's not about your guilty pleasure music! I'm the one making the moves up here so if the music doesn't scream lip gloss and high heels, I don't want to hear it!’ It was a musical stand-off! “When I'm doing a photo shoot, it's all about Beyoncé – Crazy In Love and Put A Ring On It.”

Jay-Z Compares Beyoncé to Michael Jackson

Klaudia//August 15, 2011
When it comes to their relationship, Jay-Z and Beyoncé have been pretty hush hush over the years. But recently the two megastars have both discussed their admiration for the other's talent. In a radio interview with Philadelphia's Power 99FM, Jay-Z went so far as to compare his beloved wife to the king of pop, Michael Jackson. "I know that's blasphemy to compare the two because Mike was such an innovator," said Jay, "but I think she's like the second coming." Jay went on to explain his statement, speaking specifically of Beyoncé's work ethic. "You know, the hard work and dedication that she puts into her shows. It just makes you want to work harder at your own craft. She's like a machine." Last month on The View, Beyoncé referred to herself as a "Jay-Z groupie," saying she was inspired after watching her husband's shows from the audience.

Kelly Rowland talks about Beyonce

Klaudia//August 11, 2011
You still keep in touch with Beyonce and Michelle Williams. What are the chances of ever teaming up with them again for a Destiny’s Child reunion? Even just for one song or performance?
It hasn’t been brought up in any of our conversations, just the three of us when we’re together, I think it was last week… We didn’t really bring it up, we’re talking about each other’s projects and how excited we are and different things away from music. And it didn’t come up in conversation.

Were you hesitant to drop Here I Am so close to the release of Beyonce’s 4?
Not at all, me and my sister are two different artists, and we support each other above anything. Its the rest of the world that makes it a “thing.” We’re very supportive of one another and each other’s projects and we’re excited for one another.

What do you think of 4?
I love it. As a matter of act, she shot the video for one of my favorite songs, “Party”. I was on the set with her. We had so much fun!

Do you have a cameo in the video?
Yes I do! Just the way she directed this video, it was nothing short of genius. I’m just so proud of her, cause now she’s directing videos!

Beyonce helps Kimberley Walsh to embrace her curves

Klaudia//August 11, 2011
Kimberley Walsh has revealed she was nicknamed "duck bum" at school because of her voluptuous behind. The Girls Aloud star told Zest magazine she has learned to embrace her curves, but she has always been aware of them. Kimberley said: "When I was at dance classes in Bradford, my teacher would always shout, 'Pull in your bum, Kimberley!' And I'd say, 'I'm trying - it just won't go in!' It's been sticking out since I was two. I had the biggest bum out of about 50 girls in my class." The singer, actress and TV presenter admitted she had felt pressure to be skinny when she was younger, but then Beyonce entered the spotlight and became her role model. Kimberley explained: "I grew up thinking Kate Moss was the perfect woman but that was a totally unachievable body shape for me. It was never ever going to happen. "Then along came Beyonce. We were exactly the same age and she looked amazing, so I started to dress like her and suddenly my shape made sense. "I'd think: 'Oh, yes. Beyonce's wearing a figure-hugging dress and drawing attention to her tiny waist, so I'd buy a new dress and a large belt, go out and pretend to be Beyonce. She was a great alter ego for me." The 29-year-old revealed she and her Girls Aloud bandmates used to all work out together, but some would struggle. Kimberley said: "Some days, we'd all work out together. It was very amusing. Nadine can't run at all. Her legs are so thin, all she does is say, 'It hurts. It hurts to run.'"

Gwyneth Paltrow talks about Beyonce

Klaudia//August 3, 2011
The September issue of Elle features Hollywood goddess Gwyneth Paltrow revealing details of her private marriage, her celebrity pal Beyonce and her recent foray into music. Fans know that the actress has a bosom buddy in the "Single Ladies" singer, and Paltrow, 38, shares a sweet moment with the mag, telling of when she got support from Bey for her Grammy performance. “This story always makes me cry,” she starts. “It’s 10 in the morning and Beyoncé schleps it all the way down to the Staples Center to watch. I mean, she’s Beyoncé!” The pop star even gave Paltrow advice before her duet with Cee Lo Green. “Beyoncé’s like, ‘Okay. The singing is great. But you’re not having any fun.’ She’s like, ‘Remember when we’re at Jay’s concert and Panjabi MC comes on and you do your crazy Indian dance? Do that. Be you!’” Part of the reason Paltrow has been focusing more on music is a desire to spend more time with her two kids, as well as to have more fun. “I’m sick of doing the crying-in-my-soup part,” she says of leaving darker fare for projects like “Glee.” “I want to laugh. I want to sing. The main thing is, I want to have fun.” Her musical ambitions, of course, also include the idea of a solo album. “Beyoncé and Jay—they think that I should just go do it by myself,” she shares, “that I should go…in a studio and see what happens. And if it’s good, do it. And if it’s not, don’t. So that’s probably what I’ll do.”

Letoya Luckett: 'Beyonce & Kelly Rowland Most Talented Singers'

Klaudia//August 3, 2011
Letoya Luckett has stuck up for Kelly Rowland and Beyonce, saying that they are the hardest working singers in the business. The former Destiny's Child member was performing at a Gay Pride party in Detroit over the weekend when she told the crowd to go out and buy Bey and Kelly's new albums. " is still my 'motivation,' Letoya said, making reference to Kelly's hit single. "Each of y'all go and get four copies of her album and get Beyonce's album too. Stop hating on that girl. You know she is one of the most talented girls on the face of this earth. Both them h*es work!" Dispelling any rumours of a feud between the three girls, Letoya added: "Y'all support them, it is no beef, no hate between us. We are grown heffas, that was 10 years ago. Y'all leave that alone and let us work." Letoya also announced that she will dropping a new album next year.
