Beyonce declares her love for Topshop

Klaudia//August 14, 2012
When Beyonce released her latest set of intimate snaps onto her Tumblr site yesterday, we couldn't help but ooh and aah over her fun summer wardrobe.

And despite feeling a tad deflated afterwards at the thought of never being able to afford her designer attire, we've now been given a glimmer of hope that we too could look like Beyonce, since most of the clothes she's wearing are from high street favourite Topshop. Hallelujah!

The snaps, which were uploaded onto her iam.beyonce.com website, show the superstar singer and unofficial Topshop poster girl wearing pieces from the store in a series of fun scenarios alongside her hubby Jay-Z and a group of her closest friends.

In one shot, Bey can be seen smiling from ear-to-ear as she sits on a swing underneath a tree wearing a cream and pink embroidered mesh maxi dress (reduced from £100 down to £30 in the Topshop sale and still available to buy <a href="https://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=33057&storeId=12556&productId=5655305&langId=-1&_$ja=tsid:21416

Beyonce's Stylist Ty Hunter: 'Blue Ivy Has Style'‎

Klaudia//July 26, 2012
Beyonce has etched her name in the books as a fashion and music icon at the young age of 30. Since debuting to the world in Destiny’s Child one man has been charged with creating the looks of Beyonce. Meet Ty Hunter. In a video posted by Fuse, Ty talks about dressing Bey for 16 years now, Blue Ivy’s style, coordinating outfits with Jay-Z’s stylist June Ambrose and her gorgeous Stephane Rolland dress at the 2012 BET Awards. When asked what it’s like to work with the “Single Ladies” singer Ty responds, “I’ve been working with her now for about 16 years…it’s just family, like playing dress up with your sister at this point. We have meetings, if she has a vision it’s up to us to bring it to life.” He also insist that the self proclaimed workaholic entertainer is in charge of her complete look. Jay-Z is often noted for his red carpet styles but Ty confirms that’s not his department, “He has an amazing stylist June Ambrose, my girl. She takes care of that.” Stylist June Ambrose is at least willing to share her client when Bey and Jay are attending events together. “Yeah like all the time…I’m like ‘June, what is he wearing?’ and she’s like ‘what is she wearing?’…it’s been years of that,” revealed the stylist about working together with June. The two famed stylist had a chance to work together again for the 2012 BET Awards where Bey wore a gorgeous lime green Stephane Rolland dress. “Stephane Roland, he’s an amazing designer….day of the show we had a fitting, it just worked out so right. That’s the first dress I wanted her to wear in the first place. It was a show stopper; I was really excited for the choice that was made.” On the topic of Blue Ivy, Beyonce’s stylist played shy, “I don’t talk about Baby Blue…but she does have style. That’s my baby.”

Beyoncé And Koma

Klaudia//June 11, 2012
Beyonce Knowles may have worn dresses by David Koma before, but no piece he has created for her could have been more important than the one she wore for her comeback performance. After giving birth to baby daughter Blue Ivy Carter five months ago, Knowles has been at home with her daughter and husband Jay-Z, but her Atlantic City Memorial Day weekend concert required something a little more spectacular than her recent dressed-down chic. Koma designed a panelled bodysuit for the star, featuring lace detailing. "I absolutely love to work with Beyonce and her team and I'm very happy that she is back," London-based designer Koma told us. "She looks more beautiful than ever and it's always a pleasure to work with her!" The new mother performed a range of songs from her back catalogue - from new hits like Love On Top, to old favourites like Crazy In Love - as well as tributes to other legendary divas: performing Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You and Lauryn Hill's Ex-Factor.

Tina Knowles Designs Costumes For Revel Performances

Klaudia//June 1, 2012
Fashion designer Tina Knowles shared the applause this past weekend as the costumes she designed for her daughter, Beyonce, received high praise from press, fashion critics and fans who came to see the iconic entertainer perform at Revel Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey, over the Memorial Day weekend. The four sold-out shows at the beach front resort's premiere weekend were highly anticipated as it had been a year since the iconic entertainer performed and her first since giving birth to her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. Tina Knowles, supported by Tim White and Scott Nylund of her House of Dereon fashion label, designed two original costumes for House of Dereon Couture and supervised all of the wardrobe worn by Beyonce as she performed her non-stop, two hour set. The outfits, designed with luxury fabrics which included custom designed metallic leathers and velvet applique, incorporated hundreds of hours in handwork, custom finishing and intricate beading which included Swarovski Crystals. In addition, Ms. Knowles also designed some of the costumes for Beyonce's dancers. "Performing these concerts were so personal to me," said Columbia Records/Sony Music artist, Beyonce. "Music is an expression of who I am and my performances needed to reflect my fashion aesthetic as well as the production elements incorporated into the staging for the shows." She continued, "My mother and I are so close and connected on so many levels, both personally and professionally. Having her design and supervise the wardrobe direction assures me that I will be able to express my love of music and fashion as well as my creative vision for the overall production." House of Dereon Creative Director Tina Knowles said, "This is the fun part of the job! To be able to design costumes for stage is a complete thrill on every level. Through fashion, we are able to add an exciting visual component to the live performance which is what going to a concert is all about!"

Beyoncé’s $1,200 Shoes Left the Designer Starstruck

Klaudia//May 15, 2012
Nicholas Kirkwood‘s shoes have appeared on the feet of some of the hottest names in entertainment, but he still got a little starstruck when he saw that Beyoncé wore his glitter satin sandals ($1,265 at mytheresa.com) to a dinner hosted by Michelle Obama. “I think Beyoncé looked great!” the designer told us at the opening of his Manhattan store. “How could you not be excited to see Beyoncé in your shoes?” While Beyoncé is a pro at walking in high heels, Kirkwood knows that every woman has their own heel height preference. “Heels can be quite wibbly wobbly,” he said. “Some of my clients can literally wear them all day. Some girls are so used to wearing heels it’s almost more painful to wear flats.”

Beyoncé Blue Nail Polishes

Klaudia//May 1, 2012
Beyoncé has tried an array of blue nail polishes lately—from robin’s egg to sapphire—which is why we caught up with her manicurist Lisa Logan to get the details on Bey’s favorite hue. “Blue is a great color, and it looks amazing on Beyoncé,” she told InStyle.com exclusively. “We always have a variety to choose from.” So, are her azure lacquers a tribute to her new daughter, Blue Ivy? “That’s up to anyone to decide!” Logan said playfully. “It is a pretty color, though, and Beyoncé wears it well.” Check out four lacquers worn by the star, and find out why her manicurist picked each shade.

Nails Inc. in Baker Street
For her first public appearance as a new mommy, Knowles lacquered up in a true cobalt by Nails Inc. "You can identify this color right away because it's such a bold shade," Logan said. Find it for $19.50 at sephora.com.

Ginger + Liz in Ivy League
"For the People spread, we used Ginger + Liz's polish in Ivy League," said Logan. "You can't tell because the picture isn't close enough, but we added a clear Minx decal that says "Ivy" on it." Get the same hue for $12 at gingerandliz.com.

Nails Inc. in Connaught
Amp up your opaque blue polish with an extra coat of glitter. "We've also used a few of the Nails Inc. 3D Glitter Polishes," Logan said. Shop them for $9.50 each at sephora.com.

L'Oreal Color Riche Nail Polish in Now You Sea Me
A bright teal is a playful alternative to a punchy cobalt. "Beyonce has also worn L'Oreal's Nail Polish in Now You Sea Me," said Logan. The shade is available for $6 at lorealparisusa.com.

5 Beauty Tips to Steal from Beyonce

Klaudia//April 13, 2012
Listen to your mother: "My best beauty advice came from my mother," says Beyoncé. "She always says that outer beauty fades and inner beauty has a lasting effect. She also told me to wash my makeup off before going to bed. I don't always, but I'm trying!"

Really baby your hair: "I make a hot-oil concoction with natural oils and vitamin E for Beyoncé to put on under a heating cap," says Beyoncé's hairstylist, Kim Kimble, who has worked with the singer for 12 years. "She asks for sulfate-free shampoos, which are gentler. She knows so much that I always tease her and say she's a frustrated hairstylist!"

Embrace girl power: "My mom owned a hair salon, which was a great place to see women come together and start friendships," says Beyoncé. "I did learn a little about taking care of my hair, of course, but the lessons I learned about taking care of others and myself were much greater."

Keep it natural: "Beyoncé just likes to look like herself," says makeup artist Jackie Gomez, who's worked with the singer for eight years. "If we use false lashes, we use individuals, and I use a peach-toned primer to brighten her complexion."

Make a statement: "During the last election, Solange said she wanted Obama spelled out on her nails," says Beyoncé's manicurist, Lisa Logan. "So I asked Minx to make a nail with Obama's face on it to surprise Beyoncé and Solange. You can expect to see those again!"

Beyonce Honors Daughter Blue Ivy With Blue Nail Polish!

Klaudia//February 8, 2012
This manicure is dedicated to...Blue Ivy! Donning a bright blue dress for her first public appearance since she gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy a month ago may have been overkill, so instead, new mom Beyonce Knowles rocked a bright cobalt nail polish on her fingers in honor of her and Jay-Z's first-born daughter. In NYC Monday, the 30-year-old new mom sported Nails Inc. in Baker Street (out in March at Sephora) with her red-hot Alice by Temperley form-fitting dress at her hubby's Carnegie Hall concert after party at his newly reopened 40/40 Club. "Check out Beyonce's blue nails called Baker Street by Nails Inc. I love this color!" Lisa Logan, Beyonce's manicurist, tweeted on Tuesday afternoon. Since the hue isn't out yet you can try copying Bey's mani with L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Nail Polish in "Jet Set to Paris." ($5.99, lorealparis.com) The azure lacquer wasn't the only way the songstress was feeling blue -- she also donned a giant, sapphire sparkler on her pointer finger. It was a late night for Beyonce and her man, both of which stayed out until 4:30 a.m. "They were sitting on the top tier of same seating the entire night, just laughing, eating food -- the chef at the club is Jay-Z's personal chef as well and he sent out salads to them at 2:30 a.m.," a source tells Us Weekly. "Beyonce did have a martini at another point in the night, but she barely sipped it." "Towards the end of the night she was sitting with two of her friends and took out her phone," the source adds. "She was showing them pictures -- she was gushing and smiling and her friends were doing the same. She was very happy to be there, she had a lot of security."

Beyonce Designs T-Shirts For Obama's Re-Election Campaign

Klaudia//January 13, 2012
In the months leading up to the birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, Beyonce was busy shooting videos and promotions for her album 4, but she also made the time to design gear for President Obama's re-election Campaign. Bey and her mother Tina Knowles participated in "Runway to Win," in which a number of celebrities and fashion icons are tapped to design T-shirts and other items for President Obama's re-election campaign. According to New York magazine, the effort was spearheaded by Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who wrangled a number of her friends and fashion world peers to design shirts, tote bags, scarves and bracelets for the Obama campaign. In addition to Beyoncé, Diddy and hip-hip impresario Russell Simmons, others who've thrown in include First Lady Michelle Obama fave designer Jason Wu, as well as Rachel Roy, Narciso Rodriguez, Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg, rag & bone, Altuzarra, Alexander Wang, Tory Burch and Tracy Reese. Beyoncé's effort, designed in conjunction with her mother, Tina Knowles, is a $45 white T-shirt with the phrases "yes we can," "words do inspire" and "transform a nation together," randomly scattered across the front in different fonts. (Simmons and Diddy's shirts have not yet been revealed." The current fundraiser is a sequel of sorts to a similar campaign in 2008 called "Runway to Change," and the proceeds will go to the Obama Victory Fund. Pre-orders are being taken now and all the items are slated to go on sale online on February 7. Click here to pre-order the T-shirt designed by Beyonce.

Beyoncé’s Makeup Artist: ‘She’s the Most Beautiful Pregnant Person’

Klaudia//December 8, 2011
Whether she’s glammed up on the red carpet or dressed down for a shopping trip, one of Beyoncé‘s most enviable accessories is her glowing, luminous skin. So what’s the mommy-to-be‘s secret to beauty? “She’s ahead of the game and willing to try new things,” her longtime makeup artist Mally Roncal (left) tells PEOPLE. “What’s old is new again with her. She’s so experimental and is such a true artist.” And now that Beyoncé is pregnant with her first child, Roncal, who most recently did the singer’s make-up with the Mally “My Favorite Things” kit (available on QVC.com) for her 20/20 interview, plays up her natural glow. “She’s the most beautiful pregnant person I’ve ever seen in my life,” the makeup artist shares. “ she really just wanted to look healthy, glowy and natural but with that hint of glamour.” To get Beyoncé’s glam but understated 20/20 look, use the kit’s “Firework” eye shadow all over the lids, followed by the “Twilight” eye shadow in the crease of the eyes and the “Purple Rain” eye shadow across the lash line. “I like to play with color on her to add interest and draw attention to her eyes,” Roncal says. “But the key is to always blend properly so that you don’t see any harsh lines. That really adds to the healthy glow of the skin.” The makeup artist also used two different eyeliners on Beyoncé, and finished the look with the “Fuzzy Navel” lip gloss. “It’s this gorgeous, soft peach ,” Roncal explains, “and not only did go crazy but Katie Couric was like, ‘Oh my god, I have to have it!’”

Beyonce’s wedding dress was designed by mom, Tina Knowles

Klaudia//November 19, 2011
When it comes to their wedding gowns, celebrities want to make it big, so they usually hire the most prestigious designers in Hollywood. Beyonce, on the other hand, confessed that her wedding dress was designed by her mom, Tina Knowles, says Us Weekly. Beyonce's stylist, Ty Hunter, told reporters at Us that the successful singer and soon to be mom wore a wedding dress in April 4, 2008 that was designed by her mother, Tina Knowles. The 30 year-old singer always relies on her mother when it comes to fashion and beauty and she has never failed to impress anyone with her dazzling outfits and hairstyles. Beyonce was gorgeous on her wedding day, too, because she wore a strapless white dress designed by her mother. The gown which was decorated with ruched details, a fitted bodice and a sprawling train was shown to the public during the latest video that the singer produced "I Was Here”. The fact that Beyonce has assigned her mother the difficult task of designing the bridal dress shows how strong their relationship is. In addition, Jay-Z’s wife is sure that her mother is a good designer because the latter has produced all her costumes ever since she was a child. When she performed in Destiny’s Child, Tina, 57, would design all the girls’ costumes. Even though the color and the model were basically the same, every costume was uniquely created to reflect the personality of each girl. Since she is so skillful at designing clothes, Tina and Beyonce have set up their own brand House of Dereon, named after her mother. Their first collection was displayed during the London Fashion Week this September. There are many other brides who opt to wear custom-made designs from a parent during the most important day of their lives. Like Beyonce, Dylan Lauren from Dylan’s Candy Bar wore a dress that was designed by her father, Ralph Lauren, at the wedding ceremony which was held in June this year. This way, celebrities add a special touch to their wedding nuptials and they get to wear unique gowns.

Solange Knowles Admires Beyoncé's Style

Klaudia//November 13, 2011
Wearing the same size as your sister doesn't mean doubling your wardrobe for Solange Knowles. The singer tells Vogue (via Us Weekly) that she "never borrowed clothes from Beyoncé when we were growing up." She adds, "my style is a little more tame, and hers is a little more adventurous." Still, Solange is supportive of her sister's signature style. "I love seeing her with an hourglass silhouette," she tells the fashion bible, admitting that she even checks blogs to keep up with Bey's vacation outfits. She points out a polka-dotted Marc Jacobs outfit a pregnant Bey wore on a recent trip to Paris, saying it was "like something Jackie O might have worn, but when Beyoncé wears it, it's transformed." Clearly, there's no cause for sibling rivalry when beauty and style run in the family!

Beyonce not slowing down

Klaudia//September 22, 2011

Now that Beyonce is pregnant, there are certain smells that turn her stomach. “My nose, I smell everything from a mile away,” Beyonce said during an interview with The Associated Press while wearing a long, flowing purple dress, her baby bump showing. “Usually it is food, it is onions or something that I just can’t tolerate.” Her new fragrance is not one of them. On Wednesday, Beyonce was busy promoting Pulse, her third scent. For the creator of girl-power anthems like “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” and “Run the World (Girls),” Pulse represents another extension of that theme. “I always meet strong, powerful women and they always have a signature scent,” the 30-year-old said. “That is one of the first things I was so proud of. I thought about Diamonds and Elizabeth Taylor and all these icons, so I am so proud of this.”

AP: How is this fragrance different from your others?

Beyonce: This is very fresh. This is all about citrus, but it also has vanilla in the back. It is important for me for a fragrance not to just smell like one thing. I think women are interesting and I don’t like for you to be like, “Ok, this smells like this.” I like for it to be something signature and something that brings out your inner beauty and your confidence and makes you feel like you leave a long-lasting impression on someone.

Beyonce and Tina Knowles on fashion collection and pregnancy

Klaudia//September 20, 2011
Beyonce and her mother Tina Knowles talk to CNN's Becky Anderson during London Fashion Week about the launch of their fashion label, House of Dereon, and Beyonce's pregnancy.

Beyonce: I grew up in a fabric store. Unfortunately my mother would say: "Come on let's go to the fabric store," and she would make all of these beautiful clothes for myself and the other ladies of Destiny's Child, and after so many years my fans said we want to buy these clothes somewhere, so it was a natural thing for us to do this line, and it's so great for us to be able to do it together, number one because we get to spend time together, and two because we have such respect for each others' taste.

Becky: Tina what is it like to see not just your daughter but your designs on television?

Tina Knowles: Oh it's unbelievable sometimes and I never anticipated that. I started designing things out of necessity because there were budgetary restraints. So I would buy fabrics instead of clothes and just make them.

Beyonce: Back in those days they wouldn't loan us the clothes.

Tina: And it's funny when you need the clothes they won't loan them to you, and when you don't need them everyone wants to give them to you, so that's how it started but that was very exciting to see the clothes on TV.
