The duo stepped out for a parents’ night out sans their three children just seven weeks after welcoming their twins — daughter Rumi and son Sir.

With raw fish a pregnancy no-no, JAY-Z and Beyoncé made it a point to dine at their “longtime favorite” restaurant, Sushi Park, now that the babies are here, a source tells PEOPLE.

“They have been many times in the past,” the source continues. “Both of them love great sushi. They had a date night without the kids.”

At the restaurant – where JAY-Z has taken pal Chris Martin for dinner in the past – the couple “sat at a table and had the omakase,” adds an onlooker.

“They seemed great. They were both in a great mood — they chatted and were friendly. They had a bodyguard wait outside the restaurant. They stayed for about an hour,” the onlooker tells PEOPLE.

The 35-year-old superstar was snapped arriving to dinner at Nobu in Malibu, California, on Wednesday night with her husband, JAY-Z, the first sighting of the singer since she gave birth to their twins last month. According to an eyewitness, the couple arrived at 8 p.m. in separate cars and was surrounded by security.

"Their security arrived in an Escalade, got out and checked the parking lot, then JAY-Z exited the car," the eyewitness tells ET. "A second Escalade arrived with Beyonce and two other security cars. The couple had seven security guards plus three from Nobu -- 10 total."

According to the eyewitness, Bey and Jay left around 11 p.m., again in separate cars.

On Friday, Jay-Z took his favorite ladies out to lunch—the group including pregnant wife Beyoncé, their 5-year-old daughter Blue Ivy and his mother, Gloria Carter. Accompanied by security guards, they dined at the Gjelina restaurant in Venice, California, one of their favorite eateries, E! News has learned exclusively.

And they certainly made an entrance: Bey, who wore a boho-style hat and dress, was spotted in one of the entourage's three Escalades, while Jay drove a Tesla and his mother rode with him.

The group dined in the back of the restaurant, where they usually sit, for at least an hour. After they finished eating, a security guard drove one of the Escalades to the curb, right by the eatery's exit, and Beyoncé slid right inside.

The whole group then headed to Def Jam Records' offices a few miles away, where Jay Z and his mother went to pick up a woman before everyone drove away.
