Beyoncé cheers on Jay-Z at Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Klaudia//November 10, 2011
They're hardly the average expectant couple, but no-one could accuse Beyoncé and Jay-Z of not supporting each other. And though the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show might not be the most tempting destination for many pregnant women, the 30-year-old Run The World star looked only too happy to watch last night. Beyoncé cheered enthusiastically as her husband performed a surprise set during the flamboyant $12 million New York show. The rapper was called onstage by Kanye West as an unexpected treat for the delighted crowd.Kanye asked his 'big bro' to come out, prompting Jay to march onstage to perform a duet with his friend from their Watch the Throne album. Beyonce looked thrilled, dancing along and grinning ear to ear as her man strutted his stuff. The star wore an elegant white kaftan over her blooming bump, with her hair falling in loose curls over her shoulders.

Beyoncé Buzzes Through Kanye West’s Halloween Party

Klaudia//November 1, 2011
Beyoncé was all the buzz in her Halloween costume. Queen Bee dressed as a bumble bee while attending a gypsy-themed Halloween party hosted by Kanye West and supermodel Anja Rubik at The Darby restaurant in New York City last night. The mom-to-be was cute as can be, donning antennae, a striped yellow-and-black fuzzy outfit, and matching heels, while enjoying belly dancers and tarot card readings.

Beyonce makes surprise visit to University of Houston

Klaudia//October 4, 2011
Talk about surprises. Beyonce made a surprise appearance during my interview with Miss Tina Knowles for the University of Houston’s Friends of Women’s Studies Living Archives program. Miss Tina, a Galveston native, is being honored for her accomplishments as a mother, a businesswoman (with her own salon and now fashion line) and philanthropist. I showed up about 9 a.m. to be styled my Miss Tina’s assistant Amber, who put me in a fantastic purple wrap dress from the Miss Tina for Wal-Mart line with a pair of 5-inch platform Prada pumps. (I had my own shoes, but Amber said, “Sorry, Joy, you need to be higher. Much higher.”) Only just a few minutes before the program’s start did I learn her super-star daughter was coming. (Obviously, they wanted to keep it hush hush.) I was already nervous, but knowing Beyonce would be sitting near the front row watching me interview her mom, sort upped the nervous factor. Miss Tina (as she prefers to be called) was a gracious interview and made my job easy. She talked about her life growing up in Galveston and her business as a hairstylist and then a costume designer and stylist for Destiny’s Child. She spoke of her love for her late mother Agnez Dereon and her dedication to her two daughters (Beyonce and Solange). Miss Tina even teared up a bit. Beyonce, who sat near other family members, was just as kind. Every time I glanced at B (that’s what they call her), she smiled at me. In the back room, mannequins displayed some of Beyonce’s most recognizable red-carpet gowns, which Miss Tina designed. Beyonce’s five Grammy awards from 2003 were also on display. Then the students came. Hundreds of them (who likely got word that B was on campus via Twitter) piled into UH’s M.D. Anderson Library and began chanting, “Beyonce! Beyonce!” It even interrupted the interview for a few minutes. Beyonce, who is pregnant with her first child, was a bit bothered by the chaos since it was her mother’s big day. But afterwards the singer, wearing 5-inch heels, made a quick stop in the lobby to wave to the students: “Wow, this is crazy how fast that happens,” she said to me. “Just one tweet.”

Beyoncé & Jay-Z Raise $1 Million for Charity

Klaudia//October 4, 2011
Talk about do-gooders! Beyoncé and Jay-Z were "very cute and affectionate" at the rapper's carnival-themed fundraiser for his Shawn Carter Foundation at New York's Pier 54. The rapper arrived first, but later met his pregnant wife at the Spotted Pig's food truck, where they ate sliders. Next, Beyoncé grabbed a seat at a picnic table and watched as her hubby threw darts with Alex Rodriguez. Guests at the high-end bash sipped Armand de Brignac Champagne, played carnival games and enjoyed the high-end treats provided by Spotted Pig and Momofuku Milk Bar. In the end, the event raised $1 million toward sending underprivileged students to college.
