Beyoncé leads Grammy nominations with 9

Klaudia//November 24, 2020
Beyoncé is the one to beat at the 63rd Grammy Awards, snagging an eye-popping nine nominations.

The Recording Academy unveiled this year's nominees Tuesday via livestream.

The singer is up for record of the year for "Black Parade" as well as "Savage," her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion. "Black Parade" also got a nod in the song of the year category. And "Brown Skin Girl" is a contender for best music video.

Beyoncé, who now has a lifetime 79 nominations and 24 wins, is the most-nominated female artist in Grammy history. She's tied with Paul McCartney for the second most-nominated artist of all time, trailing only her husband, Jay-Z (who received three nominations this year), and Quincy Jones – both with 80 career nominations.

If she takes home four gilded gramophones at the 2021 awards show in January, she'll become the female artist with the most Grammy wins. Eight trophies and she'll make history as the performer with the most Grammy wins of all time.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the Grammys are moving ahead on an in-person ceremony Jan. 31 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The event will be broadcast on CBS and hosted by Trevor Noah of "The Daily Show."

Beyoncé and Peloton Team Up for Unprecedented Partnership

Klaudia//November 10, 2020
Peloton, the world's leading interactive fitness platform, and GRAMMY® Award-winning global entertainer and entrepreneur, Beyoncé, today announced a broad, multi-year partnership rooted in the celebration of music -- a central component of the Peloton class experience -- and pro-social initiatives.

The launch of the collaboration with Beyoncé, the most requested artist by Peloton's global community of more than 3.6 million members, is commemorating Homecoming season, an annual fall celebration for students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) that honors tradition and legacy. While most of this year's Homecoming festivities shifted to virtual celebrations due to the global pandemic, Beyoncé and Peloton worked closely to create a series of themed workout experiences to help extend Homecoming to Peloton members via classes across multiple fitness categories, including indoor cycling, running, strength, bootcamp, yoga and meditation.

The two are also gifting two-year Peloton Digital memberships to students at 10 HBCUs, providing access to a full library of fitness classes through the Peloton App that can be used with or without equipment. The digital memberships will go to students at Bennett College, Clark Atlanta University, Grambling State University, Hampton University, Howard University, Morehouse College and Morehouse School of Medicine, Spelman College, Texas Southern University, and Wilberforce University, by the end of November. Additionally, Peloton will build on its relationships with each of these schools to pursue long-term recruiting partnerships at both the internship and undergraduate levels.

"Peloton and I both believe that the power of music can help uplift, motivate and inspire those on their fitness journeys," said Beyoncé. "I've been a Peloton member for several years, and I'm excited to partner with a company that helps people, young and old, be the best versions of themselves, in an innovative and adaptable way. I'm proud to celebrate the students at HBCUs with this donation, to encourage them to find and embrace their own wellness regimens."

Beyoncé Covers The December Issue Of British Vogue

Klaudia//October 31, 2020
British Vogue unveiled Beyoncé as its December 2020 cover star on Friday (Oct. 30) with three jaw-dropping covers.

And in typical Beyoncé fashion, her cover will be one for the books: The photographer, 21-year-old Kennedi Carter, becomes the youngest cover photographer in British Vogue's 104-year history, capturing Bey sporting her latest Ivy Park x Adidas collection as well as a Mugler elastic-nylon mesh bodysuit and an Alexander McQueen evening jacket.

In the interview, conducted by editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, the 39-year-old superstar reveals how the events of 2020 "absolutely changed" her.

"It would be difficult to experience life in a pandemic and the current social unrest and not be changed. I have learnt that my voice is clearer when I am still," she says. "I truly cherish this time with my family, and my new goal is to slow down and shed stressful things from my life. I came into the music industry at 15 years old and grew up with the world watching, and I have put out projects nonstop."

She recalled her "back to back" creative projects over the last four years, starting with her 2016 album Lemonade and ending with her 2020 Disney+ visual album Black Is King.

Beyoncé's Second Ivy Park Collection Is More Size-Inclusive Than Ever

Klaudia//October 23, 2020
The Beyhive will be pleased.

Beyoncé and Adidas next week will drop their second Adidas x Ivy Park collection. Called Drip 2, the line includes several apparel pieces with more inclusive sizing and a gender-neutral aesthetic as well as accessories and an expanded assortment of footwear.

The launch will be supported by a campaign titled “This Is My Park” featuring the singer in a series of images and videos asking the viewer to find their park — the place, real or imagined, that defines and centers them.

During the pandemic, Beyoncé said she looked inward to mentally, physically and emotionally find her park. Much of that centered around Zoom calls and what she and her children call Fashion Fridays, where she posted some of her most iconic looks on social media, that helped them navigate the new pandemic-induced normal. With the second Ivy Park collection, she’s encouraging her fans to do the same by exploring questions such as: where is your beast mode, what drives you, where do your dreams lie, what is your motivation? For her, the response is: your park.

The Drip 2 collection, which she began teasing on her Instagram page to her 155 million followers earlier this week, includes pieces that can be worn in and out of the gym. It utilizes Unite Fit, a new standard for inclusive and genderless sizing, and offers sizes that range from XXXS to 4X for the apparel collection in many styles. A selection of belts, socks, hats, functional belt bags, fanny packs and a duffle bag are designed to complement the apparel.
