Beyonce Brushes Up Her Skills For Alicia Keys Party

Klaudia//November 23, 2012
Beyonce has been keeping us fascinated with her pictures on Tumblr as well as Instagram, but while she does seem to have got posing down to a tee – her pal Alicia Keys has revealed that she’s also a dab hand at painting too.

The ‘Girl On Fire’ star, who recently hit the stage in Birmingham, recalled how she threw an ‘art party’ for her husband and art collector Swizz Beatz, and that’s how she noticed Beyonce’s skills.

According to the Daily Star, Alicia talked about the celeb-studded bash which Jay-Z and Beyonce attended.

"We had canvases everywhere and you did whatever you could - even if you could only splat paint on it,” she said.

There was something so cool about that for people. Jay (Jay-Z) and B (Beyonce) came... Beyonce's actually a really beautiful painter."

Keyshia Cole Talks About Beyonce And Jay-Z

Klaudia//November 17, 2012
Keyshia Cole said she admires Jay-Z and Beyonce and their strong bond.

“I respect Beyoncé and Jay-Z, because I know how hard it can be to stay in love in this business. In the beginning, it appeared as if Jay-Z knew Beyoncé had work to do. I respect that. You can’t go into a relationship trying to change someone. You have to grow with that person and go through everything with them.

"That’s one thing that I noticed and I respect about them. Of course, I’m not with them every day, but that’s what I see from the outside looking in,” Cole said.

Klaudia//October 31, 2012
Madonna's recent appearance on Ellen had several noteworthy moments, including Ellen's cool anecdote about how Madonna reached out to her during the "Yep, I'm Gay" era, a dunk tank game with Madonna's 12-year-old son Rocco, and this provocative clip where Ellen asked Madonna to comment about her fellow pop stars. Tamia reflects on touring with Beyonce

Klaudia//October 26, 2012
You have performed on the same stage as Barry White and Gladys Knight as well as touring with Missy Elliot, Beyoncé and Alicia Keys. Any wild stories you can relate?

I had a great time on that tour with Beyoncé, Missy and Alicia. It was actually very much girl power. At the time I had my first daughter, and Beyoncé in particular was so sweet and very kind to her. So as a mum anyone who treats your kids nice, you instantly love them. She’s a great girl. Sorry I don’t have any dirt on any of them as all of those women are pretty amazing.

Alicia Keys: Beyoncé Is Better Than Mary J. Blige

Klaudia//October 20, 2012
Alicia Keys is a Girl On Fire, and her fiery new single (or duet with Maxwell) has nothing to do with it in this instance. The messy people over at 92Q put the acclaimed musician in the hot seat by asking her: who is the better rapper–Jay-Z or Nas? and who is the better singer–Beyoncé or Mary J. Blige?

Beyoncé or Mary J. I’m gonna go for Bey; I think that she actually has a really (at the heart and core of it all) if you just heard her at a piano or a guitar–it’s really spectacular how she sings.

Obama on friendship with Jay-Z & Beyonce

Klaudia//October 19, 2012
President Barack Obama says his friendship with hip-hop royals Jay-Z and Beyonce is nothing out of the ordinary.

"They’re good people,” Obama told Colby Colb of Cleveland Z107.9. “…Obviously they’re unbelievably successful, but they really are down-to-earth folks. And we talk about the same things I talk about with all my friends."

That includes offering first-time dad Jay-Z parenting advice, POTUS said: "They just had a new baby. …I made sure that Jay-Z was helping Beyonce out and not leaving it all to mom and the mother-in-law."

Obama befriended the stars when "they were supporters back in '08," he explained. "Beyonce sang at our inauguration and Jay-Z did a bunch of get out the vote concerts….We’ve had them down to the White House.”

The president added that “Beyonce could not be sweeter” to the first lady and his daughters who love her music.

As for his own iPod, Obama said he's got "a bunch" of Jay-Z songs downloaded.

“Is ’99 Problems’ on there?” Colb asked.

“You know, I gotta say I go with some other stuff like ‘My First Song,’ which just kinda keeps me steady,” he replied. “It’s a great song. It reminds you that you always have to stay hungry.”

Bono girl's beautiful day with Beyonce

Klaudia//October 16, 2012
U2 frontman Bono's youngest daughter has revealed how her rock star dad was responsible for the greatest moment of her life: when he brought Beyonce home.

In an interview with 'Rolling Stone' magazine, actress Eve Hewson also said her father was against her pursuing a movie career.

Hewson (21) is enrolled on a prestigious New York University drama course and is living in the US city with her Irish best friend.

She described how the "greatest moment probably of my life" happened when Beyonce strolled by with her dad as she was in their pool.

She said: "I was with my friend Blue (The Edge's daughter) and we just went under water and screamed and then got out of the pool and hid. "So that's when we used Dad -- to get cute boys and Beyonce."

Klaudia//September 29, 2012
Alicia Keys has confessed that she is pleased to be experiencing motherhood for the first time alongside fellow new mum Beyonce.

The 'Empire State Of Mind' singer told Capital FM that spending time with her son Egypt is a joy she can't explain.

"It's amazing. It's unbelievable," she admitted. "I just feel better in every possible way I can be and a joy I can't even explain."

The US star also joked that she and the Destiny's Child star enjoy play dates with their children as they share their experiences.

"We do. We have like our little play dates," she said. "But no, we're friends and it's amazing to be able to have children at the same time – it's actually really cool."

She continued: "It just changes you, we talk a lot and it's like what's important has shifted."

Alicia gave birth to her son two years ago with Beyonce and Jay-Z welcoming Blue Ivy back in January this year.

Laura Carmichael has a girl crush on Beyonce

Klaudia//September 25, 2012
Laura Carmichael is enjoying the perks of Downton Abbey's success in America and has developed a massive crush while spending time in the US - the Brit star is crazy about Beyonce Knowles.

'I have such a huge girl crush on Beyonce,' admits Laura, 25.

'She's just so sexy and inspirational and she makes no secret of the fact she works hard.

'If I'm feeling discouraged or at a low ebb I ask myself, "What would Beyonce do?" and I know she would go to the gym or the supermarket.'

The actress, who plays prim and proper Lady Edith Crawley in the ITV drama, was lucky enough to find herself within reaching distance of her idol at The Met Ball in New York.

But, poor Laura was so astounded that she couldn't muster up the courage to approach Beyonce, instead making do with admiring her Givenchy couture dress from a distance.

'I was so overcome in her presence,' Laura tells You, 'I was unable to move.'

Sean Paul Calls Beyonce/Jay-Z Beef Rumors 'Crazy'

Klaudia//September 19, 2012
Sean Paul is no stranger to hit records, and his latest LP, Tomahawk Technique, will no doubt house its fair share of memorable cuts. Still, no matter what the season, one of SP's biggest tracks will also be "Baby Boy," his 2003 collaboration with Beyoncé. Not only did the track earn the pair some major airplay and RIAA hardware, it also got the rumor mill spinning.

Though Sean Paul appeared in the track's video, which was directed by Jake Nava, he and the pop queen were filmed separately. "The whole direction of the video was sold to me as, 'You're in a dream world,' " Sean Paul said when he appeared on "RapFix Live" on September 12. "It was not a big deal to me, but it really blew up into crazy stuff."

When SP wasn't onstage with Beyoncé for her 2003 MTV VMA performance, many speculated that B's now-hubby Jay-Z had blocked the Jamaica-born dancehall star from getting his shine on. But on "RapFix Live," Sean Paul denied those rumors.

"That's a rumor that started. I've known Jay-Z from before I knew her," he said, recalling a time that he sat in Hov's former Roc-A-Fella offices getting lessons on radio politics from the iconic MC.

They say there is no such thing as bad publicity, so rather than address the rumor, Sean Paul just let it linger. "The general public blew it up in certain things. I just remained quiet about it for years because it was doing its work. There was just a lot of controversy," he said. "She's an amazing artist, the song was at #1 for like nine weeks, so that was a very special time for me and for dancehall."

Azealia Banks talks about Beyonce

Klaudia//September 11, 2012
Who did you admire growing up?
Aaliyah. And I love Beyonce – she's the queen of everything.
She's the most remarkable performer and musician. And this is just my humble opinion, but I just think she's better than everyone else making music right now.

Are you still starstruck by her?
Yes, and I met her – and I cried! It was so embarrassing. It was at the Met Ball. I was ****ing around with Kanye and she was sitting there, chilling and eating dinner. I freaked out. And I realized she saw me being a dummy and I started crying. Then I saw her expression, like, "Girl, get your **** together." I had to walk away and get myself together and pat my face, then come back to properly say hi! And if I meet her again someday, I'll probably cry again.

Perhaps one day you'll be tourmates.
(look of shock) I don't think... Ah, don't even get me aghast right now. Look at me, you already have me thinking about it! It would be so ****ing crazy.

Nicole Richie loves Beyonce's fearlessness

Klaudia//September 1, 2012
Socialite Nicole Richie is in awe of singer Beyonce Knowles for her fearlessness.

Richie admits she loves how "fearless" Knowles is and "always" checks out what she is wearing, reports contactmusic.com.

"I'm a fan of anybody who is as fearless with their looks as Beyonce is. I'm always excited to see what she's wearing," she said.

"My wardrobe has gone through so many different stages. When I was a kid, there was an odd-socks phase; my mother was too embarrassed to go out with me. When I'm 40, I'll go, 'What was I thinking when I was 30?'," she added.

The xx's Oliver Sim wants to write song for Beyoncé

Klaudia//August 28, 2012
The xx guitarist Oliver Sim has revealed aspirations to write a track for Beyoncé.

The musician described the US singer as having the same level of talent and star-power as Michael Jackson and admitted to being overwhelmed when seeing her perform live last year.

"Beyoncé is very special. I think she's important," Sim told Q magazine. "I think the super-pop thing that supposedly died with Michael Jackson is still there, with her.

"I saw her at Glastonbury and I may have shed a tear. Writing a song for her, that's the dream. The full Sasha Fierce."

Sim confessed that he has eaten out with Beyoncé and Jay-Z, but found it hard to speak to them after feeling too star-struck.

"We all went for dinner. There may have been a husband of hers there. I always had a lot of things I wanted to say to her and I completely choked."

Speaking to The Mirror, the 'How We Do (Party)' hitmaker said that her mother can't resist mortifying her in front of her mentor and his popstar wife.

She said: "My mum is so embarrassing around Jay-Z and Beyoncé. She starts talking about when I was a baby and my nappy rashes!

"When they first met, my mum said to Jay, 'Are you the one who sang you've got 99 problems and a bitch aint one?'

"He said, 'Yeah', and my mum goes, 'You've got the baddest bitch', and points at Beyoncé. After that it was, 'See ya later Rita' and it was all about my mum and Jay."

Obama fav working out song is 'Crazy in Love'

Klaudia//August 19, 2012
President Obama has said that Beyonce's hit number 'Crazy in Love' is a pretty good song to work out to.

"I've got a lot of old school R and B: you know, Steve Wonder, Earth, Wind and Fire, Marvin Gaye," the Politico quoted him as saying in an interview with KOB-FM in New Mexico.

"But I've always got a bunch of contemporary stuff: Jay-Z, Beyonce, Nas. You name it, I've got it.

"If I'm really trying to get my heart rate up, 'Crazy in Love' is a pretty good song to work out to," he said.

Beyonce Influenced White Rabbits New Album

Klaudia//August 19, 2012
LD: You cite Beyoncé as an influence for your latest album Milk Famous. Can you elaborate a bit?

SP (Stephen Patterson): I think we wanted to go into this record with a sort of, for lack of a better term, a mix tape kind of vibe where each song feels kind of unrelated to one another, but as a whole, it kind of makes sense. That was kind of the feeling that I got out of her most recent record, 4, and she's so great at interpreting each song so differently and just always like shifting the tone of each thing, but still owning each sort of feeling in each song; there will be a party song or a very emotional song or whatever and use different sounds and arrangements for each song without any sort of care for a cohesive hold and I think that, for me, was sort of inspirational. That inspired me as a singer. She's one of the greatest singers of our time. I get the feeling that although she's one of the most famous people in the world, she still really cares about every small little detail that's going on and you have to appreciate that. It's hard to be at that level and still put out something that's such high quality. It's cool.
