"Sweet Dreams" is another Beyonce's No. 1
Beyonce's "I Am...Sasha Fierce" opus yields a fourth No. 1 on Dance/Club Play Songs, as "Sweet Dreams" lifts 2-1. The track follows leaders "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" (January), "Diva" (March) and "Halo" (May). "Sweet Dreams" is the album's fifth charted song; "If I Were a Boy" stopped at No. 2 in January. "Sweet Dreams" is Beyonce's 11th No. 1. She first ruled with "Crazy in Love" this week in 2003. With her current hit's ascension, Beyonce ties Kristine W for second-most toppers this decade. Madonna leads in that span with 17 No. 1s. (Beyonce also made three trips to the summit with Destiny's Child from 2000 to 2005). Since Dance/Club Play Songs originated in Billboard in 1974, Beyonce is one of eight solo women to boast a double-digit No. 1 total:
