Beyoncé Is Reportedly Filming a Music Video at the Colosseum

July 18, 2018

Apparently shutting down one epicenter of cultural history was not enough for Beyoncé, because she is now reportedly trying to film something at the Colosseum. You know, the ancient Roman landmark where gladiators once dueled to the death some 2,000 years ago? Yep, that Colosseum.

According to Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, Beyoncé has put in a request to film something at the Colosseum (it's not yet clear what). She initially requested to book the amphitheater on July 7 and July 8, when she and Jay-Z were in town for their On the Run II tour, but was reportedly rejected by Italy’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage because Italian scientist Alberto Angela already had it reserved. Il Messaggero also notes her request was too last minute, as the Colosseum is “a very complicated place.” (Closing down the Louvre to shoot "Apes--t," on the other hand? A total breeze.)

But Beyoncé, being Beyoncé, is not ready to throw in the towel, and has reportedly resubmitted her request, which is currently under review.

It's worth mentioning she has filmed at the Colosseum before (remember that Pepsi commercial with Britney Spears and Pink?), so if the timing is right, it seems like things will be a go. Block out your Saturday nights for another surprise!

Beyoncé Launches New Vegan Meal-Planning App

Beyoncé delivered the performances of a lifetime from Coachella with good reason. She is in great shape, and that all started in the kitchen. She attributes her healthy eating lifestyle of going vegan and wants to share her tips with you. The pop star recently launched a vegan meal-delivery service 22 Days Nutrition which is owned by her and vegan nutritionist Marco Borges.

22 Days of Nutrition uses a matching system to connect users to plant-based meals curated by nutritionists. It allows you to customize your meals based on cooking habits, dietary needs, allergies, household size, and goals. At that point, the meals are personalized for you. The app consists of thousands of recipes ranging from breakfast to dinner and boasts that they are easy and simple to make.

After you’ve chosen what you like, you can either take your grocery list to the store or order in app. The platform has partnered with Instacart and Peapod to allow users to order their groceries online and have them shipped directly to their doorstep.

“We believe that optimum health shouldn’t be something that is reserved for a select few but is a right for all. Everyone deserves the opportunity to live their best, happiest life,” states the site.

“Food is the foundation of better health. Our founder, Marco Borges’ personal mission is to help others achieve happiness through health. He started this journey in Miami as the owner of a vibrant gym, and then began to personally train some of the most talented people on our planet. While working with Beyoncé and Jay-Z, he was able to share the benefits of a plant-based diet with them. Eating a more plant-based diet helped revolutionize the way they thought about food and nutrition.”

So what are we paying to eat like the stars? Well according to the site, you receive Marco’s expert guidance, recipes, unlimited printable menus and grocery lists, full nutritional analysis for every meal, on-demand help from food coaches seven days/week, exclusive tips, and exclusive advice from 22 Days, all for $14/month or $99/year. That’s the price you must pay to stay healthy.
