Last week she remembered the victims of 9/11:

Klaudia//September 14, 2014
Beyonce and Jay-Z wrapped up their On the Run Tour with two shows at Stade de France in Paris on September 12 and 13! Beyonce wore four new outfits and performed the Flawless remix with Nicki Minaj! I attended both of the concerts so I'll upload pictures I took tomorrow!

The singer took to Facebook to thank her fans: "Thank you Paris for hosting us as we brought our #OnTheRunTour to an official end, and thank you to all the fans that supported our show!"

Instagram & Beyonce.com Updates: September 2

Klaudia//September 3, 2014
Beyonce shared two new pictures on Instagram.

On her official website, she posted a new entry about Dominic Austin:

William Dominic “Billy” Austin’s first rule of his new life is this: Never allow someone to convince you that you are healthy if you know that you don’t feel like yourself—it could cost you your life.

As a former NFL player with the Indianapolis Colts, Austin was visibly in good shape and a self-proclaimed fitness buff, but when an onset of stomach discomfort, unexplained fever and fatigue began to plague him, he knew something wasn’t right. Over the course of several months, Austin visited a number of professionals who assured him the conditions he was experiencing were all stress-related. Trusting his better instincts, Austin continued to seek answers about his health and reached out to the NFL Player Care Program, which is managed by the Cleveland Clinic in Las Vegas, ranked the 4th best hospital in the country where he would receive a life-altering diagnosis.

Austin tells of the visit in his own words saying, “It was the week of my 39th birthday, and I was there for two days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and underwent testing from head to toe. On the second day the Internal Medicine doctor noticed the tumors on my shoulder along with a small mole on the back of my head and recommended that I be screened for cancer. During the same visit I was informed that I was partially deaf in my inner ear as well as a few other challenges, needless to say it was a hard pill to swallow. I returned to Los Angeles that evening and it would be two months before I got a biopsy. Thanks to the persistence of the doctors at the Cleveland Clinic I was diagnosed with stage III Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on 5/21/2014.”

Beyonce.com: Kim Dansby

Klaudia//August 22, 2014
When the On The Run Tour landed in the Los Angles area there were two nights of shows, tens of thousands of fans, and there was Kimberly Dansby; an exceptional 31-year-old woman living with Lupus who has a story to match her strength.

In 2010, Kim was met with the grim diagnosis of lupus, a deadly autoimmune disorder in which the body’s immune system goes into overdrive threatening vital organs such as the kidneys, heart, and liver. More specifically, Kim suffers from a condition known as lupus cerebritis, a form of lupus that attacks her brain.

Soon after her diagnosis, her cerebritis had become so life-threatening that her doctor rendered her permanently disabled and unable to work. At the time, she was a 27-year-old single mom to daughter Alaina, the recipient of a freshly minted Bachelor’s degree in social work, and eager to begin her career helping others. Having to leave her job, Kim lost her insurance, and was unable to pay for costly medications ($35,000/ year for the only FDA-approved lupus drug; $756/ month to keep her seizures at bay; $22,000/ dose chemotherapy to kill her healthy blood cells to keep them from essentially killing her.) She had her first late-night seizure during this period, while her daughter slept in the other room.

As a direct effect of the disease she has suffered three near-fatal seizures in her sleep and because she has experienced miniature strokes in the last few months, her doctor has prescribed a second round of chemo treatments to slow down lupus’ strike against her brain.

After a government-imposed two-year waiting period, Kim was able to access and cover the some costs of her treatments through Medicare and disability benefits. To pay for her latest round of chemo, she collected donations from generous friends and family members.
