'X Factor' bosses 'secure Beyoncé for Judges' Houses'

Klaudia//August 28, 2011
X Factor bosses have reportedly secured Beyoncé to be a mentor during the Judges' Houses stage of the competition. The singer will act as a sidekick to new judge and fellow Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland. The pair will film the episodes in Miami in two weeks time. Producers are said to be "thrilled" to have Beyoncé help out on The X Factor. The news follows predictions from Xtra Factor host Olly Murs that she would make an appearance. "It's a massive bonus for this year's series," a source told the Sunday Mirror. "You don't get bigger then Beyoncé right now and Kelly is super excited about it. "They also think she'll perform on the show later in the year. They're both so busy and hardly see each other these days so they jumped at the chance to work together."

X Factor: Beyonce to become Kelly’s Sinitta at judges houses?

Klaudia//June 20, 2011
Beyonce is reportedly planning to step in and act as Kelly Rowlands’ very own Sinitta type assistant at the upcoming X Factor judges houses rounds. The pop diva of course used to perform alongside new judge Kelly, in Destiny’s Child, one of the world’s best-selling girl groups of all time and Heat magazine claims that the pair will reunite later this summer when Rowland has to choose her final singers for the ITV show. Each year the X Factor judges choose assistants to help them with the whittling down process, though the helpers have got more and more high profile as time went on. While the panel used to be content to have former 80′s popstars (Sinitta) or old Boyzone members at their side, last year Cheryl Cole persuaded Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am to help out, while X Factor Australia judge Natalie Imbruglia worked alongside Dannii Minogue. So who will the other judges pick for their assistants? We think Gary Barlow will bring along one of his old Take That pals, Tulisa Contostavlos will most likely ask fellow N-Dubzer Dappy to work with her and Louis Walsh may opt for Sharon Osbourne, as he did in 2010

Beyoncé mentors 'American Idol' finalists

Klaudia//May 19, 2011
Beyoncé served as guest mentor on the American Idol semi-final. The singer, who debuted the music video for her new song 'Run The World (Girls)' during the two-hour performance show, offered her advice to Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery and Haley Reinhart as they rehearsed. The Top 3 had to perform three songs this week: one chosen by judges Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler, one selected by in-house mentor Jimmy Iovine, and one they picked themselves. Beyoncé spent time with each finalist individually as they prepared their own song choice for the penultimate performance show. First up was McCreery, who had selected 'Amazed' by Lonestar, a band which Beyoncé said she also likes. "Scotty, that's my boy," she added. "He is so incredible. He has such charm and he's so innocent and such a cutie pie!" The diva said that she was interested to see McCreery reaching into the higher area of his vocal range, but wondered if he really had to considering how "wonderful" he is at the low notes. However, she told him that he "sounded effortless" whatever he sang. Next was teenager Alaina, who was offered words of advice from Beyoncé on how to battle nerves on stage. "I've created a character for myself when I perform because I get nervous," said the star. "Right before I go on stage I tell myself that I deserve it, I'm strong, I'm fearless, and I'm a diva, and I'd encourage you to do the same because it works for me." Alaina had chosen 'Wild One' by Faith Hill for her first performance, which Beyoncé said was a "great" selection. "I've seen her in the past and enjoy her mostly when it's something fun because I feel like it loosens her up." The final contestant to have one-on-one time with Beyoncé was Reinhart, who picked Led Zeppelin's 'What Is and What Should Never Be'. "It was a very interesting song choice and it just shows her gut, strength and fearlessness," said Beyoncé. "She is a risk taker because she didn't pick a pop song or something everybody knows. She has a conviction and makes you believe in what she believes in, which is a huge part of being a superstar." Beyoncé also revealed that she viewed the finalist as a "rockstar", saying that "she has a presence even when she's not singing" and praising her "warm tone" and the "natural raspiness" in her voice. American Idol continues tonight at 8/7 on Fox.
