Instagram Update (July 9)

Klaudia//July 9, 2016
Beyonce weighed in on the shooting of the Dallas police officers on her Instaram: "Rest in peace to the officers whose lives were senselessly taken yesterday in Dallas. I am praying for a full recovery of the seven others injured. No violence will create peace. Every human life is valuable. We must be the solution. Every human being has the right to gather in peaceful protest without suffering more unnecessary violence. To effect change we must show love in the face of hate and peace in the face of violence."

Beyonce.com: Freedom

Klaudia//July 8, 2016
We are sick and tired of the killings of young men and women in our communities.

It is up to us to take a stand and demand that they "stop killing us."

We don't need sympathy. We need everyone to respect our lives.

We're going to stand up as a community and fight against anyone who believes that murder or any violent action by those who are sworn to protect us should consistently go unpunished.

These robberies of lives make us feel helpless and hopeless but we have to believe that we are fighting for the rights of the next generation, for the next young men and women who believe in good.

This is a human fight. No matter your race, gender or sexual orientation. This is a fight for anyone who feels marginalized, who is struggling for freedom and human rights.

This is not a plea to all police officers but toward any human being who fails to value life. The war on people of color and all minorities needs to be over.

Beyonce.com: Remembering Kayley

Klaudia//July 6, 2016
Beyoncé has paid tribute to Kirkdale woman Kayley Keir on her official website.

Kayley’s family and friends launched a social media campaign in the weeks before the gig to get Beyoncé to dedicate a song to Kayley - who died of cystic fibrosis in December after battling the disease since birth.

The international star performed on Tuesday in Manchester as part of her Formation world tour and the Keirs were hoping Beyoncé would sing ballad I Was Here in memory of 20-year-old Kayley.

The grammy award winner didn’t perform the song, but instead posted a touching tribute to Kayley on the website.
