'Perfect' No. 1 on Hot 100 for 5th Week

Klaudia//January 9, 2018
Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé's "Perfect" tops the Billboard Hot 100 for a fifth week. The song also takes over as the most-heard hit on U.S. radio, reaching No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart.

"Perfect," released on Atlantic Records -- first as a solo track by Sheeran on his album ÷ (Divide) -- spends a sixth week at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart with 109,000 downloads sold (down 34 percent) in the week ending Jan. 4, according to Nielsen Music.

The song also lifts 2-1 on the Radio Songs tally, up 7 percent to 139 million audience impressions in the week ending Jan. 7 (with radio playing both Sheeran's original solo version and the duet). Sheeran scores his second Radio Songs leader, following ÷ lead single "Shape of You," which reigned for 12 weeks beginning last Feb. 25.

Beyoncé adds her sixth solo Radio Songs No. 1 and first in nearly nine years. Her previous toppers: "Crazy in Love," featuring JAY-Z (eight weeks, 2003); "Baby Boy," featuring Sean Paul (nine, 2003); "Check on It," featuring Slim Thug (three, 2006); "Irreplaceable" (11, 2006-97); and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" (five, 2009). Beyoncé first ruled Radio Songs as a member of Destiny's Child with four singles (consecutively) in 2000-01: "Say My Name," "Jumpin', Jumpin'," "Independent Women Part 1" and "Survivor."

On Streaming Songs, which "Perfect" led for a week, the song slips 2-4 with 36.4 million U.S. streams (down 4 percent) in the week ending Jan. 4.

Coachella Announces Full 2018 Lineup

Klaudia//January 3, 2018
The lineup for the 2018 Coachella Music and Arts Festival has been announced, and headlining the festival will be a trio of superstars: Canadian R&B singer the Weeknd, pop diva Beyoncé and Detroit rapper Eminem.

Now in its 19th year as a festival, the Goldenvoice–promoted event marks the symbolic opening of the annual festival season. This year‘s installment, which will take place over two weekends from April 13-22, marks the first time a rock act hasn’t headlined.

Also featured will be rapper Tyler, the Creator, experimental pop guitarist St. Vincent, the breakout R&B singer SZA, sibling trio Haim and the wildly popular New York rapper Cardi B.

Veterans taking the stage will include former Talking Heads singer David Byrne, British beat band Jamiroquai, prog-metal band A Perfect Circle and disco-funk producer Nile Rodgers and Chic.

The shift away from rock and booming EDM has most benefited rap, which will be represented through artists including “Rock Star” rapper Post Malone, respected Long Beach artist Vince Staples, the Atlanta trio Migos, ascendent collective Brockhampton and upstart Princess Nokia.

Still, there will be guitars, and they’ll be carried in by members of bands including the War on Drugs, Alt-J, Priests, Fidlar, Fleet Foxes, Cherry Glazerr and the Regrettes.

Remaining tickets go on sale Jan. 5 at noon PST on the Coachella site. General admission passes are $429, while VIP wristbands cost $999. Prices include all taxes and shipping fees.

'Perfect' Tops Billboard Hot 100 for Third Week

Klaudia//December 27, 2017
Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé's "Perfect" rules the Billboard Hot 100 for a third week, remaining the top-selling song of the week and ranking as the most-streamed title for the first time.

Sheeran and Beyoncé's "Perfect," released through Atlantic Records, and first as a solo song by Sheeran on his album ÷ (Divide), spends a fourth week at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart, up 55 percent to 151,000 downloads sold in the week ending Dec. 21, according to Nielsen Music, good for the Hot 100's top sales gain. Aiding its momentum: its new "Perfect Symphony" version with Andrea Bocelli (which accounts for 32 percent of the song's total sales for the week).

"Perfect" also takes over atop the Streaming Songs chart, gaining by 9 percent to 43.4 million U.S. streams in the week ending Dec. 21. Sheeran scores his second Streaming Songs No. 1, following "Shape of You" (four weeks on top beginning March 25), as does Beyoncé, whose "Drunk in Love," featuring JAY-Z, led for four weeks in 2014.

On Radio Songs, "Perfect" holds at its No. 2 high (125 million in audience, up 6 percent, in the week ending Dec. 24).

Tina Knowles Settles the Debate About Beyoncé's Real Hair

Klaudia//December 23, 2017
Beyoncé has been seen with many fabulous hairstyles over her long, illustrious career, but no matter how her hair has been colored or styled, one thing has almost always remained more or less the same — the woman rocks some serious length. Except for that time she got a bob back in 2013 (which actually looked amazing on the singer), she's kept her hair mostly past her shoulders and typically well down her back. There's been some debate over the years about whether we normally see her with weaves, wigs, or her natural hair. Well, Tina Knowles attempted to settle that debate with an Instagram post on Saturday.

Let's rewind a little. Beyoncé's stylist, Neal Farinah, posted multiple images of Beyoncé after he styled her for the Sports Illustrated Awards with captions like, "SAY WHAT ALL NATURAL" and "SLAY ME THAT NATURAL CURLY HAIR," implying that what we were seeing on Bey's head was all hers. (TBH, who cares — the woman looks beautiful and we all use makeup, hair products, and other cosmetic enhancements to look our best, but for the sake of debate, let's keep exploring.)

However, commenters still had some questions for both Bey and Farinah and wondered if it was indeed her real hair (or all hers and not a half wig). This caused Farinah to post a video to Instagram addressing some of the comments and praising the gorgeous natural texture many black women have.

Flash forward and Tina Knowles herself has stepped in with an Instagram post showing Beyoncé from the back with a long, sleek ponytail. The caption simply says, "INCHES!!!! So happy my baby’s hair grew back !! She is going to get me 😩" and while it doesn't address any of the drama around Bey's hair, it does imply that everything we're seeing in the photo is real and that Beyoncé's hair is all hers.

Eminem Premieres "Walk On Water" Video

Klaudia//December 23, 2017
Well here it is, the first video off Revival has arrived. A couple days ago, Eminem took to his social media to tease the upcoming video for “Walk On Water” featuring Beyonce, and now to kick off the Holiday weekend he’s decided to go ahead and liberate the full thing exclusively on Apple Music however.

The 5-minute video finds Em performing in a dark room with a mic stand, before taking a seat in a classroom set up, along with a ton of other Eminem clones, typing on an old school typer writer. The scene looks to be an re-enactment of French mathematician Émile Borel’s famous “infinite monkey theorem,” thanks to the homework of HHNM.

Unfortunately, Beyonce doesn’t make an appearance in the video, but after all she wasn’t even supposed to be featured on this song anyways. It was recently revealed that Adele was originally planned for the feature, but it didn’t work out due to her damaging her vocals chords earlier this year.

Check out the new video RIGHT HERE and peep a snippet below.
