Beyonce reportedly shot a music video for a song called "Formation"! @whatthekasim posted the following tweets:

He first revealed that his dad is going to work with Beyonce on January 22, the day before the video shoot in Los Angeles! See the tweet.

The title seems to be real, as it was featured on a style board that Beyonce's stylist Ty Hunter was spotted carrying out of her office back in August! See the picture again.

The song may have been produced by Boots. He tweeted the following:

"i guess y'all don't remember my "formation is key" tweet, huh"

After an impromptu performance at a watering hole in Delhi's hip Hauz Khas last July, British rock band Coldplay took their India connection to the next level with a subsequent visit to Mumbai to shoot the music video for their new single, "Hymn for The Weekend" in October.

Now Sonam Kapoor does a cameo in the song, which is the second single of the band's seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams. When contacted, the elated actress confirmed the news, "I love Coldplay's music and so does the world. It was a huge honour to be a part of the video. It's a great concept and I had a lot of fun shooting for it."

The 30-year-old actress plays a mystical muse in the video directed by Ben Mor. "Sonam shot for a day last October at the Golfa Devi Temple in Worli and the Vasai fort," informs a source close to the actress. The video also features American pop diva Beyonce, who has also lent her vocals to the track.

The single is a follow-up to the album's first number, "Adventure of a lifetime," which became the band's 21st UK Top 40 hit and stayed in the top 10 for six weeks.

Sonam's sister, Rhea Kapoor, who often styles her looks conceptualised her appearance for this video too. "They zeroed in on a desi look with Sonam in a ghagra choli and wearing the traditional mang tika and a nose ring," adds the source.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin sent the Indian social media into a meltdown when, accompanied by music composer Vishal Dadlani, actress Freida Pinto and members of the comedy collective, AIB, he turned up the Summer House cafe and belted out a few of the band's hits, including Paradise and Viva La Vida.

Martin and Freida had travelled to India with a non-profit organisation that is working to end extreme poverty by 2030.

Beyonce reportedly started the video shoot in Los Angeles that was scheduled for tomorrow already yesterday! The singer is said to have shot in a building in Skid Row. Beyonce herslef wasn't spotted at the location, but you can check out photos and videos from the set below.

Diane Warren has been called "the most important songwriter in the world."

Her catalogue of songs stretches into the thousands, and the army of artists who have performed her songs is almost as large. Warren's works across genres — in country, pop, and hip-hop — and she's teamed up with divas like Beyoncé and Lady Gaga.

Much — possibly all — of Warren's success can be attributed to her grueling work schedule, which is roughly 12 hours per day, six days a week. But she says that's not out of the ordinary when it comes to the music business. "Work ethic!" she exclaimed when she spoke to The Frame. "That's why these people are great."

Even if you don’t know who’s recording the song, do you picture in your mind’s ear how that song is going to sound?

Yes. My songs can go a million different ways. “I Was Here,” which Beyoncé did, I wrote that on my acoustic guitar, right? And I was thinking, this could go anywhere. It could be Susan Boyle to Beyoncé. But I thought, Oh, Beyoncé. But I sent it to Simon Cowell for Susan as well. I did this little acoustic guitar demo. And I also called Jay-Z and played him the song on the phone. And he said, "Stay where you are. I’m having Beyoncé call you." She called me. I played her the song . . . She , "I’m going in the studio on Wednesday and recording that song. I’m holding up my whole album."

Sia Furler's forthcoming album, This Is Acting (due January 29th), has a novel concept: It's full of songs rejected by A-list artists. Furler has been successfully writing for music's biggest names, from Adele to Beyoncé, since she crossed over to writing pop music around five years ago, after solidifying herself as a Top 40 artist with her hit single "Chandelier." "I feel like they're hits, but nobody wanted them," she says of the tracks on the new LP, which have been written during the last few years. "So I thought, 'Let's see, as an experiment, if I'm right.'"

In anticipation of the album, Furler spoke in depth with Rolling Stone about pop music, her productivity and on becoming her clients' "bitch" in the studio.

What song or songs feel the most Sia to you? Which ones are you most connected with?
"One Million Bullets" is my baby. I had seller's remorse with "Bird Set Free" every time it went away and then came back. First it went to Rihanna and then it was returned. Then it went to Adele, and Adele cut it and sounded amazing on it. Then it was returned. The truth is that we wrote "Bird Set Free" for Pitch Perfect 2. They rejected it and took another song of ours called "Flashlight." That become a big thing through the movie, but I could not believe they rejected "Bird Set Free" because to me it was such a big, anthemic, fun, sing-along-in-the-car song. I felt seller's remorse. I had grief. I feel connected to that song. I feel connected to a song called "Footprints." That was a Beyoncé reject that I wrote in the Hamptons a couple years ago. I feel really connected to one song that I actually decided to leave off the album because I wanted to use it in the movie I'm directing next May. And I really like "Cheap Thrills" because I think it's fun. Those are the ones I actually feel most connected to, but the truth is I can't even remember the track listing because I've taken off songs, picked up another one so many times, I actually don't even know. I like one called "Broken Glass." That's another one, but I think that might only be a bonus track.

MeLo-X (whose real name is Sean Rhoden) is a musician, D.J. and multimedia artist with tastemaking cred in hip-hop and the fine arts. He has collaborated with Beyoncé, including on her 2014 On the Run Tour with Jay Z. His photographs and films have been displayed at the Sean Kelly Gallery in Chelsea.

After honing his D.J. skills with amateur mixtapes, MeLo-X was hired in 2009 to be tour D.J. for Theophilus London. At the same time, he began making unauthorized remixes of albums, which he would interpret with his ambient and serrated electronic sound. His remix of Beyoncé’s 2014 album, which he called “Yoncé-X,” caught the pop star’s attention; she asked him to collaborate on her next tour. “She liked how I deconstructed the music and the way that I time-stretched her voice, pitched things down,” Melo-X said.

His collaboration with Beyoncé continues. He can’t say much, but he is working on behind-the-scenes clips and short films for Beyoncé’s YouTube channel and website. “Beyoncé is god to many,” he said. “Maybe to me, too, but I won’t let her know.”

Coldplay collaborations can be a shocker (see: “Lost” featuring Jay Z and the Chris Martin and Kanye West duet "Champion"). But the four-piece British rock group are flipping the script for their forthcoming farewell album, A Head Full of Dreams.

Frontman Chris Martin recently opened up to The Wall Street Journal about the group’s track featuring Beyonce called “Hymn on the Weekend,” a song that was born out of his desire to create a club track.

“The original kernel was that I was listening to Flo Rida or something, and I thought, it’s such a shame that Coldplay could never have one of those late-night club songs, like “Turn Down for What.” What would we call it if we had one?,” said Martin.

“I thought I’d like to have a song called 'Drinks on Me' where you sit on the side of a club and buy everyone drinks because you’re so f---ing cool," he continued. "I was chuckling about that, when this melody came -- 'drinks on me, drinks on me' -- then the rest of the song came out. I presented it to the rest of the band and they said, 'We love this song, but there’s no way you can sing "drinks on me."' So that changed into 'drink from me' and the idea of having an angelic person in your life. Then that turned into asking Beyonce to sing on it.”
