Beyoncé & Jay Z's Day in Boston

Klaudia//July 26, 2013
No matter the weather, Beyoncé and Jay Z enjoy their time together.

Despite some rain on Tuesday, the Magna Carta Holy Grail rapper and his wife shared a romantic lunch in Boston – the latest stop on Beyoncé's The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.

The couple – sans daughter Blue Ivy – sat side by side as they dined at Sam's at Louis on the South Boston Waterfront.

To complement the French-American bistro's fare, they ordered a bottle of Champagne on ice, an onlooker tells PEOPLE.

After their quick bite on Fan Pier, the couple visited Louis Boston, a high-end boutique for men and women that was temporarily shut down so the pair could shop in private.

Following their shopping excursion, the duo took off in an SUV with two bodyguards in tow, so Beyoncé could prepare for her live show at the TD Garden that night.

Beyoncé must have enjoyed her lunch, because during her concert she announced to the crowd, "How you doing Boston? You guys have good food!" says another source.

Beyoncé‬ Pays Tribute to Motor City

Klaudia//July 22, 2013
Beyoncé has joined fellow diva Aretha Franklin in offering the city of Detroit a vote of confidence as it faces bankruptcy reorganization.

During her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour stop on Saturday night at The Palace of Auburn Hills in the Detroit suburbs, Beyoncé -- fresh from the Trayvon Martin rally with husband Jay Z earlier that day in New York City -- added Sam Cooke's "A Chance is Gonna Come" to her set, dedicating it to the city.

The performance was accompanied by a video montage (watch it, above) that included photos of key Detroit sites as well as notable personalities such as boxer Joe Louis and music icons like Bob Seger, Kid Rock, Eminem, the White Stripes, Berry Gordy, Jr., and a full array of Motown legends -- including even non-Detroiters like the Jackson 5 and Lionel Richie. The clip concluded with a declaration that "Nothing Stops Detroit!"

Beyoncé did not mention the bankruptcy proceeding, which was announced two days prior, directly at the show. She turned down a request to comment, with a spokesperson telling Billboard that, "This was a unique tribute to the history of an incredible city and a celebration of the strong spirit of its people."

Beyonce Extends World Tour To Australia & NZ

Klaudia//July 9, 2013
Beyonce’s “The Mrs Carter Show” world tour is heading Down Under later this year.

The pop superstar’s tour of Australasia will start Oct. 18 at Vector Arena in Auckland before crossing the Tasman Sea for arena dates in each of Australia’s five biggest cities.

The Australian trek begins Oct. 22 at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena before heading to Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and wrapping-up Nov. 8 at Perth Arena. She last played in Australia for her "I AM" tour back in 2009, when two dates were canceled (Sydney and Brisbane) and another was rescheduled (Sydney) due to an "unforseen change" in her international schedule.

Beyonce’s itinerary has a handful of lengthy gaps, which suggest there’s potential for slotting-in additional dates should these shows prove to be a hot ticket.

Live Nation is promoting the tour, tickets for which go on sale from July 19, while registered members of Beyonce’s BeyHive Blog can apply for pre-sales from July 10. Tour co-sponsor MasterCard (July 12) and Live Nation (July 16) will offer members an early pre-sale window. Pepsi and Coty join are the tour’s other key sponsors.

Beyoncé kicked off her "Mrs. Carter Show" mid-April in Belgrade, Serbia. The North America leg of her tour began June 28 in L.A. The global tour is due to return to North America following the conclusion of Beyonce's Australia trek.

Mrs. Carter’s New Squeeze

Klaudia//June 30, 2013
Beyoncé—superstar, tastemaker, Givenchy flame-wearer—kicked off the U.S. leg of her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour in L.A. on June 28. She already debuted a wealth of flashy wares in Europe, like custom costumes by The Blonds, David Koma, Dsquared², and Emilio Pucci. But, for her Stateside performances, Mrs. Carter is adding a few sartorial surprises. And she tapped emerging Israeli designer Alon Livné to make them.

The pair ignited their creative relationship back in February after Beyoncé’s stylists, Ty Hunter and Raquel Smith, attended the 27-year-old’s debut New York Fashion Week presentation. Smith reported back to Bey, who quickly fell in love with with one of Livné’s metal-embellished Pre-Fall gowns, and requested customized versions—in red—for her and her backup dancers to wear on the tour.

Based in Tel Aviv, where he owns two stores, Livné returned to New York earlier this month to show his Resort ’14 collection to retailers. And not long after his arrival, he got a call. “They asked me if I could do something special,” Livné told Style.com—the “they” being Beyoncé’s stylists, and her mother, Tina. “I said yes, of course.” There was one problem, though—he had nowhere to work. But when you’re designing for pop culture’s reigning queen, nothing is impossible. Beyoncé’s camp set him up in an office with an industrial sewing machine, and he got to it. “I think the fact that they were willing to help me make these dresses, and to give me a studio, was so amazing,” offered Livné. “I mean, it’s Beyoncé. She can go anywhere from Chanel to Givenchy and pick whatever she likes, and she helped me.”

The fruit of his labor is a scarlet corset sprinkled with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS crystals, the sketch of which debuts exclusively above. The look will serve as Ms. Knowles’ show-opener during the tour. Livné also made the star a printed gown with metal details, and a bevy of costumes for her backup dancers.
