Beyonce Sings National Anthem Live at Press Conference

Klaudia//January 31, 2013
Beyonce appeared at a Super Bowl press conference in New Orleans on Thursday Jan. 31 -- and before she took questions from reporters, she gave an unexpected performance of "The Star Spangled Banner." Looking stunning in a long-sleeved white dress, the superstar, 31, asked her audience, "Will you all please stand?"

The Grammy winner then proceeded to sing the National Anthem live, with no accompanying music -- and no pre-recorded backtrack. And, once that live performance was done, Beyonce admitted that she did, indeed use a backing track last Monday in Washington, D.C. for her much-speculated rendition of the same song at President Barack Obama's Inaugruation.

"I am a perfectionist," she said. "And one thing about me: I practice 'till my feet bleed. I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra. It was a live television show... Due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check... I did not feel comfortable taking a risk."

Symbolic One talks about working with Beyonce

Klaudia//January 31, 2013
“I met Beyonce while working with Kanye and Jay out in London and Australia on the Watch The Throne album. Creatively we bonded and she loved my work. That led to her asking me to fly out to New York at the top of the year to work on her album with her. January 2nd of 2011 I got that call to fly out to work with Bey.

My co-producer Caleb McCampbell and I went out there and created about 4-5 songs with Bey and “Best Thing I Never Had” was one of the ones that stuck. Then my fam Shea Taylor (who was lead producer on “4″) came in and polished the record up and it became Beyonce’s 2nd single from her album.”

“I can definitely say she’s already got a few joints from me for her new project. However, I’m not sure of her direction or where she’s trying to take it creatively this go round. Guess no one will really know till it drops (laughs).”

Rihanna Reveals Her Special Present For Blue Ivy

Klaudia//January 31, 2013
Rihanna has revealed what special present she has bought Beyonce and Jay-Z's little one, Blue Ivy, in a new interview with Rolling Stone magazine, and it's pretty darn cute.

The 24-year-old protege of Jay-Z has spent lots of time with the new tot, understandably, and has opened up to the mag about the new personalized gift she has made for baby Blue.

Seeing as she's one of the world's biggest fashion icons, she made the little one a mini version of the jacket she wore on the X Factor during her performance on November 17, 2011 – an edgy black biker jacket.

NFL Shoots Down Rumors About Beyoncé's Diva Behavior

Klaudia//January 31, 2013
The NFL is defending Beyoncé after a British tabloid reported that the singer made outlandish demands in the rider for her much-anticipated Super Bowl performance this Sunday.

Yesterday, the Daily Star reported that Bey had insisted that the NFL provide a "lavish" backstage nursery for her 1-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, including rose-scented candles and an exact temperature of 78.8 degrees Fahrenheit.

“She’s by far one of the most difficult celebrities we’ve ever dealt with. The list is as long as my arm," a source told the Star. "She may be a superstar, but this day is about football, not her.”

But Brian McCarthy, the NFL's vice president of communications, shot down the report, telling TMZ the rumors are "pure pulp fiction."

"Beyoncé and her team have been great to work with throughout this process," McCarthy said. "We have enjoyed her creativity, vision and spirit in putting on a great show that is truly a Super Bowl performance."

Beyonce calls surrogacy rumors "stupid"

Klaudia//January 26, 2013
Wow. When she gets personal, she goes all out.

Beyonce's HBO documentary Life is But a Dream delves into her marriage to rapper Jay-Z (including a sweet scene in Venice, which has them singing the song Yellow by Coldplay).

Lucky reporters got an advance copy of the film. And it was worth the wait. Seeing Beyonce, who normally never delves into her personal life, discussing her husband -- priceless.

"It's every woman's dream to feel this way about someone," Beyonce says about her husband during a vacation in Venice.

And yes, she shows her sonogram on screen.

But Beyonce, so private about her marriage and her life in general, goes much further. She shares footage of her trip to Paris with her nephew. She talks about wanting to "make love" to her husband. She explains why she decided to share her pregnancy news so visibly at the MTV awards.

Most notably: She opens up about her miscarriage two years ago, saying that one week she heard a heartbeat – and the next, nothing. And she talks about how devastating the loss was to her and how she retreated to the studio to deal with it.

Is Destiny's Child releasing more new music?

Klaudia//January 13, 2013
Destiny’s Child is releasing a new compilation, “Love Songs”—a collection of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams’ most sensual and romantic recordings throughout the years.

In addition to including songs like “Cater 2 U” from 2004′s “Destiny Fulfilled,” “Brown Eyes” from 2001′s “Survivor,” and “Now That She’s Gone” from 1999′s “The Writing’s On The Wall,” the 14-track compilation also includes a new song, “Nuclear” that was produced by Pharrell Williams and co-written by Michelle Williams, James Fauntleroy and Lonny Bereal.

The new track “Nuclear” has further fueled speculation that the group will reunite when Beyoncé performs for half-time show at “Super Bowl XLVII” on Feb. 3.

Though “Love Songs”—which drops Jan. 29—only features one new song from DC3, AlwaysAList.com has learned that the group has recorded several additional tracks that will be used on each respective member’s solo release.

Destiny’s Child recorded a new song that one industry insider described as “hot” for Rowland’s forthcoming solo CD, “Year of the Woman.”

The trio also recorded a new gospel song for Williams’ third inspirational CD that will bow on Light Records later this year.

Lastly, a fourth original tune will be included on Beyoncé’s fifth solo release tentatively slated to be released this summer.

Could a full Destiny’s Child reunion CD be in the near future? Have the recent recording sessions inspired the trio to possibly tour together? I guess only time will tell! However, AlwaysAList.com believes—pun intended—”the writing’s on the wall.”

"Love Songs" Official Press Release

Klaudia//January 11, 2013
Music World Entertainment/Columbia Records/Legacy Recordings will release Destiny’s Child - Love Songs, a new career-spanning collection of the most sensual and romantic recordings from the best-selling vocal group, on Tuesday, January 29, 2013.

Comprised mainly of romantic gems recorded between 1997 and 2004, Love Songs features "Nuclear," the first new Destiny's Child recording since 2004. Produced by Pharrell Williams (who cowrote the track with DC's Michelle Williams, James Fauntleroy and Lonny Bereal), "Nuclear" features vocal production by Beyoncé and Lonny Bereal.

The romantically-themed Love Songs is the second Destiny's Child compilation to be released through Legacy Recordings. The first, Playlist - The Very Best of Destiny's Child, is the most successful in the label's popular "Playlist" series. Released in October 2012, celebrating the 15th Anniversary of the group's #1 debut single from 1997, the 14-track career-spanning "playlist" includes all five of the group's Billboard #1 pop and #1 R&B hits. As noted in Billboard.biz (November 30, 2012), "The highest ranking 'Playlist' album is Destiny's Child's Playlist: The Very Best of Destiny's Child...."

Generally known for their dance floor pop and R&B anthems, Destiny's Child demonstrate their equally compelling command of contemporary torch songs and ballads throughout Love Songs.

In addition to the new track, "Nuclear," Love Songs balances romantic, passionate and sensual selections from 1998's Destiny's Child ("Killing Time," "Second Nature"); 1999's The Writing's On The Wall ("Now That She's Gone," "If You Leave" featuring Next, "Temptation"); 2001's Survivor ("Brown Eyes," "Emotion") and 2004's Destiny Fulfilled ("Cater 2 U," "If," "T-Shirt," "Love"). Added treats for fans include the Timbaland remix of "Say My Name" (originally released on 2002's This Is The Remix) and Kelly Rowland's "Heaven" (a key track from Simply Deep, her 2002 solo album).

Beyoncé to perform at Obama's 2nd inauguration

Klaudia//January 9, 2013
Beyoncé, James Taylor and Kelly Clarkson will perform the patriotic songs at the second inauguration of President Obama on Jan. 21, the inauguration committee will announce today.

Beyoncé, who's also starring at the Super Bowl halftime show next month, will sing the national anthem, always a tough tune to pull off well.

"I'm very honored to perform at the 2013 Presidential Inauguration," she wrote on her official website about the performance.

Taylor, the Sweet Baby James icon of '70s folk-rock, will sing America the Beautiful.

And Clarkson, the first winner of American Idol (2002), will sing My Country, 'Tis of Thee, the song with different lyrics but the same tune as the British national anthem. At the first Obama inaugural ceremony in 2009, soul diva Aretha Franklin sang it while wearing a memorable hat.

More announcements about entertainment at the inauguration are expected in coming days.

All this will take place during the public swearing-in ceremonies on the Capitol steps, when President Obama delivers his second inaugural address before a crowd likely to top more than 1 million.

Obama will officially take the oath of office at the White House on Jan. 20, as per the Constitution, but the repeat swearing-in ceremony, the inaugural parade, the lunch with Congress and the inaugural balls will take place on Monday.
