Beyoncé's original song for the motion picture "King Richard" premiered today!

Dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah known in showbiz as ‘Shatta Wale’ has revealed for the first time that he has delayed in releasing his GOG album because American songstresses, Rihanna and Beyoncé are yet to complete with their verses on some songs, MyNewsGh.com reports.

Speaking for the first time after his release from the Ankaful prison on Kumasi-based Pure FM with self-styled Millionaire, Oliver Khan aka ‘Ship Dealer’ monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Shatta Wale remarked that but for ‘Ship Dealer’ he would have had difficulties releasing his album.

“This is the first time I’m speaking to any media house after my release from prison and I’ve decided to not grant any radio interview for a while but I couldn’t resist not answering the call because of Oliver Khan my Boss.

He is the first person who loaned me money to produce my first album.

I haven’t told anyone this but the reason why my GOG album has been delayed is that Rihanna and Beyoncé are not done with their verses on some of the two songs I featured. When they’re done, hopefully, I will release the album.” Shatta Wale stated on Pure FM.

Beyonce will be featured in Janelle Monáe's song "Say Her Name (Hell You Talmbout)", which honors black women killed by the police, premiering on September 24.

On Sunday night, the 9-year-old daughter of Beyoncé and JAY-Z took home her first award from the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, winning the best cinematography category for Beyoncé's "Brown Skin Girl" video and becoming the youngest VMA winner ever.

Earning the award alongside her music icon mom, 40, Blue Ivy also shares the honor with "Brown Skin Girl" collaborator Wizkid and SAINt JHN. Cinematographers for the video are Benoit Soler, Malik H. Sayeed, MOHAMMAED ATTA AHMED, Santiago Gonzalez, and Ryan Helfant.

Fellow nominees in the category included Billie Eilish ("Therefore I Am"), Foo Fighters ("Shame Shame"), Justin Bieber ft. Chance The Rapper ("Holy") Lady Gaga ("911"), and Lorde ("Solar Power").

The stakes were always high when it came to working with Beyoncé. Already a superstar and a three-time Grammy winner as a member of Destiny’s Child, with four Billboard Hot 100 No. 1s under her belt, when she went solo in 2003 with the release of “Dangerously in Love,” she set a dizzying pace right out the gate, boasting two No. 1 hits and selling over five million copies of the album.

With her sophomore release “B’Day,” she knew she had to raise the bar, as both a singer and a visual artist — a given now, as Queen Bey turned 40, but not yet cemented 15 years ago.

Although her self-titled fifth album is the first which Beyoncé directly deemed a visual album, many devotees of the singer consider “B’Day,” released to accompany her Sept. 4 2006 birthday, to be the first true visual representation of her music. That’s largely because, seven months after its release, Beyoncé released the “B’Day Anthology Video Album” DVD, containing 13 music videos.

Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, who produced “World Wide Woman” and the album’s lead single, “Deja Vu,” recalls Beyoncé telling him her initial plans to make a music video for every song on the album. “She was actually watching different people she was thinking about hiring as directors,” Jerkins tells Variety. “When we weren’t recording, she was thinking about all that type of stuff, and I got a chance to see that side of her.”

Jerkins and fellow producer Jon Jon Traxx first came up with the concept for “Deja Vu” while driving to a 7-Eleven before a recording session. Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough” had come on the radio, and having previously worked with Jackson, Jerkins wanted to give Beyoncé something of that caliber.

There’s a new song from Beyonce on the way!

The new film King Richard just had it’s first public screening during an event at the 2021 Telluride Film Festival and the audience got to hear the song.

Beyonce‘s original song for the movie King Richard will make her eligible for an Oscar nomination in the Best Original Song category. The film is slated to be a big awards contender, so it seems she might be a shoo-in for a nomination.

The song is titled “Be Alive” and Beyonce is the sole performer listed on the track. She co-wrote the song with DIXSON, who also produced the single.

King Richard will be released on November 19, so the song will seemingly be out no later than that date. Beyonce has not yet been nominated for an Oscar, so this could mark her first one!

Aaliyah's uncle and producer Barry Hankerson revealed that Beyoncé helped her write songs in the studio.

The nominations for the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards have been revealed, with three nods for Beyonce. Voting is open from now through Friday, Sept. 3. The ceremony is set to air live from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m.

The 21st annual BET awards returned Sunday night, hosted from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, where a live audience attended for the first time since the pandemic began. Beyonce was nominated in two categories and took home one award for her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion.
