Beyonce's '4' very adult album

Klaudia//September 1, 2012
Beyonce's '4' album 'made more sense' to producer Diplo - who worked on two tracks on it - once he found out she was pregnant.

The producer and his DJ partner Switch worked on two tracks on the album, first single 'Run the World (Girls)' and 'End of Time', and although he was initially confused by why it was such an 'adult' album, he grew to love it.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz at the launch of Red Bull Culture Clash: 'When it first came out, I wished I had worked on more of the record, but after a year passed I became a huge fan.

'We knew the two records that we did, but when it came out it had all those ballads, and then I realised, it made a lot more sense when I found out she was pregnant.

'In the studio I didn't know really where she was with her attitude but it's a very adult record.

'She's made a lot of dance and club records, but this whole album is a very adult record, and in retrospect I really appreciate it a lot, more than I did when I first heard it.'

Diane Warren Writing Songs For New Beyoncé Album

Klaudia//August 17, 2012
Diane Warren has found her latest muse, and it’s Beyoncé.

Warren, who wrote the ballad “I Was Here” for Beyoncé’s latest album, 4, said she’s writing material for the megastar’s upcoming album.

Warren said she played a few songs for Beyoncé in New York last week. “They’re great songs,” Warren said of the new tracks she wrote for the 30-year-old singer. “I think they’re on the level of (‘I Was Here’) and I’m really excited about that.”

She compared writing for Beyoncé to a screenwriter having Meryl Streep or Robert De Niro act in his or her movie.

“Some people come in my studio and I’m like, ‘Oh god,’ and you’ve got to fix them up and it’s just hard,” Warren said. “Some of the people that get deals, you just can’t understand. But then when you work with a Beyoncé or so sadly Whitney (Houston) ... it’s so beautiful.”

Beyoncé isn’t the only Destiny’s Child member getting the Diane Warren treatment: “I’m working with Kelly Rowland because Beyoncé was telling her to get together with me.”

Did Beyonce Enlist Sia for Her New Album?

Klaudia//August 13, 2012
If the world wasn’t already super excited for a new Beyonce album, it will be now. Since Bey never settles for less than the best, it’s only natural that her collaborators for her fifth studio record would be the cream of the crop — but that doesn’t make a few of the names floating around any less surprising, including Australian songbird Sia.

As we previously reported, Beysus is working with her hubby Jay-Z ‘s bestie, Kanye West, on her latest effort, as well as producer Hit-Boy and One Republic frontman and songwriter Ryan Tedder (who previously helped pen her hit ‘Halo’).

It makes sense for Bey to stick with what works, but the superstar has never been content to rest on her laurels. Bey loves to experiment, which lends some credence to new rumors that she may be working with both Sia and frequent Dev and Far East Movement collaborators the Cataracs.

The Cataracs hinted about a collaboration on their Twitter, writing, “Off to New York! Unfortunately I’m not allowed to divulge why but… It’s big! With a capital b. Does her name start with b? Who’s to say.” The tweet has since been removed, but remember: Screenshots are forever!

Further, the Cataracs tweeted a photo of Sia, who was also in New York (where Bey is recording). Sia has expressed a strong desire to work with Queen Bey in the past, telling MTV, “Well, there’s only one song left for this album, so I probably won’t get on this album, but hopefully the next one. That’s my dream, that’s my goal.” With that in mind, take a gander at the awesome Aussie’s tweets from Aug. 6 and 7:

Beyonce Working With Kanye West, Hit-Boy

Klaudia//August 11, 2012
Beyonce is back in the studio working on her new album (in addition to possible work on the soundtrack for “A Star Is Born,"), and she has some very special guests with her like producer/rapper Hit-Boy and her pal Kanye West.

UK newspaper, The Sun, is reporting that Mrs. Knowles has been holing up in a New York studio with none other than Kanye West and producer Hit-Boy, the mastermind behind The Throne’s “Paris." According to their sources, Bey has rented out the entire studio and has top notch security to make sure no one hears a peep of what she plans to be her best work yet.

This album will be Knowles’ fifth studio album and it is rumored that the second album she is working on could be the soundtrack for the upcoming Clint Eastwood re-make of “A Star Is Born," which she'll appear in alongside Tom Cruise. Between Kanye, Hit-Boy, and One Republic’s Ryan Tedder, it’s obvious that Bey is pulling out the big guns for this album.

Beyonce's team wipe studio after use

Klaudia//July 26, 2012
Having tracks leaked before their intended release date is hugely frustrating for artists, especially if the music is unfinished and now it has emerged that Beyonce goes to great lengths to make sure her tracks don't see the light of day until she's ready. Singer Conor Maynard is new to the music scene, but he's been hearing stories about how the big artists roll. Chatting to BBC Newsbeat, he revealed how the 'Single Ladies' star prepares to make new music. "I've heard some mad stories. With Beyonce, I heard that with her people they'll make sure that there's no-one in the studio. They go into the studio, wipe it, set up one new session for her to record. Once she's finished recording they move it onto a hard drive. They wipe the studio computer again and then leave," he said.

New Destiny's Child Albums On The Way

Klaudia//July 7, 2012
It's been quite some time since we last heard from Destiny's Child — and no, we're not talking about Beyoncé and Jay-Z's daughter, Blue Ivy, but instead the pop&B power trio that consisted of Bey, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Almost a decade after their last full-length studio effort, Destiny Fulfilled, Mathew Knowles — DC's longtime ringleader — has revealed that previously unreleased material from the group will appear on two compilation releases via his Music World Entertainment label partnership with Sony. "We still have our joint venture with Sony, and in November, we're putting out two Destiny's Child catalog records with new material," Knowles told The Huffington Post when asked about his label's upcoming plans. Beyond the new tunes, the group's back-in-the-day manager also spoke about the possibility of a DC3 reunion tour, emphasizing that a trek wouldn't occur until the second release drops and if it fits in with each of the stars' respective solo careers. "It takes a year of planning to do these tours, but first it starts with the artist wanting to do it. And I think the ladies are still working happily in their solo careers," he explained, adding, "And I hope in the next five years that there is a reunion tour. I think it would be incredible." What would be harder than getting Beyoncé, Kelly and Michelle to simultaneously devote time to a Destiny's Child tour? Well, according to Mathew, that wouldn't be the biggest challenge. "The hardest thing would be choosing which songs they're going to do, because we would want to mix it up with solo hits and Destiny's Child hits. We would have to throw away some #1's from off the set list," Knowles said. But until Destiny's Child decide it's time to relive the glory days, fans will have to sit back and enjoy each of the women's continuous solo endeavors. With Beyoncé inching her way back into the spotlight after the birth of her first child, Kelly appears to be the busiest out of the threesome, with a mentoring gig on Australian reality series "Everybody Dance Now" alongside Jason DerĂĽlo and a brand-new musical chapter with the release of her Lil Wayne-assisted single "Ice." As for Michelle, the diva is currently venturing into the fashion industry and will be designing a clothing line in partnership with African brand Koshie O.

Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love” Is Best Song Of The ’00s

Klaudia//June 1, 2012
For whatever reason, British rock journal NME has painstakingly compiled a list of the 100 Best Tracks Of The ’00s, a good two-to-three years after many other sites and magazines did the same. Perhaps there’s something to be said for letting the dust settle on a decade before tackling the raddest tunes it produced? At any rate, the publication singled out “Crazy In Love”, the 2003 solo breakout smash from the world’s most beautiful woman, Beyonce, as its top pick from the previous decade. The song features her now-husband, Jay-Z, who also ranked at #32 with the Alicia Keys-featuring “Empire State Of Mind” and #49 with “99 Problems”. See who else made NME‘s cut below. Bey also pops up at #83, along with her Destiny’s Child bandmates, via their 2001 single “Independent Women Part 1″. Other artists who made the list twice include Outkast (at #5 with “Hey Ya” and #18 with “Ms. Jackson”), Amy Winehouse (#26 with “Rehab” and #61 with “Back To Black”), The Killers (at #41 with “Mr. Brightside” and #95 with “All These Things That I’ve Done”) and Eminem (at #73 with “Without Me” and #90 with “The Real Slim Shady”). Pop divas made a strong showing as well: Rihanna‘s 2007 smash “Umbrella” is #16, Lily Allen‘s debut hit “Smile” landed at #46, Britney Spears‘ Grammy winner “Toxic” is right behind at #47, Kelis‘ booty-shaker “Milkshake” shook its way to #71 and Kylie Minogue‘s signature song “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” is #74. Other notable songs NME included: Missy Elliott‘s “Get Ur Freak On” (#36), Girls Aloud‘s “Sound Of The Underground” (#39), Kanye West‘s “Gold Digger” (#40), Daft Punk‘s “Harder, Better, Faster Stronger” (#51), La Roux “In For The Kill” (#52) and Sugababes‘ “Round Round” (#97).

Diplo: Beyonce track started off as 'joke song'

Klaudia//May 1, 2012
Producer and DJ Diplo says a sample he came up with that Beyonce later used started off as a bit of fun. "I still think a lot of people don't even realise where that song came from," Diplo told Newsbeat. Beyonce's single, Run the World (Girls), contains parts of Pon De Floor, a track Diplo produced with his group Major Lazer. He added: "That song never really had a push. It was a song we did, kind of like a funny kind of a joke song." The 37-year-old American has produced tracks for Usher, Azealia Banks and Marina & the Diamonds. He recalls working with Beyonce as a surreal experience: "We had to finish up a few records we were working with her on," said Diplo. He also worked on Beyonce's latest single, End of Time. "That was super weird man. Like I remember we were in the studio working with her and I still couldn't believe it."
