Beyonce Hangs Out With Solange In London On Birthday

Klaudia//June 25, 2012
Beyonce made sure her younger sister Solange Knowles had a birthday to remember yesterday, inviting her to spend the weekend in London. The 'Countdown' singer has been supporting husband Jay-Z with his live European dates over the last month, including the end of his 'Watch The Throne' tour and his performance at the Hackney Weekend. Joining them over the weekend was Solange who celebrated her 26th birthday yesterday and appeared to be having a wild time with Beyonce, sharing a photo of them posing backstage at the Hackney Marshes. Last year, Beyonce gave Solange 25 pairs of shoes for every year of her life, although it isn't known what she surprised her with this year.

Beyonce at BBC's Radio 1 Hackney Weekend

Klaudia//June 24, 2012
We all know Beyonce loves her man. She's even been quoted as saying "I've always been a Jay-Z groupie." If that's not true love, we don't know what is. Currently overseas checking out her man's closing Watch The Throne Tour stop in Birmingahm, UK (where she was photo'd with Kim Kardashian) Beyonce proved she was up for a second round, as she was spotted getting down in the audience as Jay hit the stage with Rihanna for the opening day of BBC's Radio 1 Hackney Weekend. Although Rihanna is slated to headline tomorrow's show, she shared the stage with Jay-Z who kicked off the weekend of performances with Kanye by his side. With hugs and plenty of Roc signs to go around, the pair had Beyonce moshing hard in the crowd. Seriously, Beyonce was moshing. Nicki Minaj, M.I.A and Ed Sheeran also took the stage today. Rita Ora, Florence + the Machine, Nas, Calvin Harris, Lana del Rey and dozens of others will also be performing this weekend. Check out Beyonce moshing in the crowd in the video below.

Blue Ivy Named Honourary Citizen Of Hvar

Klaudia//June 23, 2012
Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z's daughter Blue Ivy has become an honourary citizen of Croatia's island of Hvar. The baby of the superstar parents has been granted the status after the region's officials heard that the inspiration for her name was taken from a tree wrapped in blue ivy on the island. Interest on the tourist hotspot has dramatically increased since the birth and the area was named as Lonely Planet's number 5 destination in 2012. A letter from Major Pjerino Bebic read: ''The story of the origin of the name of your daughter has brought enormous media attention and therefore tourist promotion to the town and island of Hvar. ''Because of this, I have decided to confer on your daughter the status of honourary citizen of the town of Hvar.'' The 30-year-old welcomed her first child with the rapper to the world five months ago.

Solange Knowles Gushes About Blue Ivy

Klaudia//June 23, 2012
Loving aunt Solange Knowles can’t stop gushing about her niece Blue Ivy Carter! The singer told HollywoodLife.com what it was like when she had her first glimpse of Beyoncé‘s baby girl when she was born in January! “It was beautiful!” Solange, 25 gushed to us at the June 21 Steve Aoki Trident Event. “I mean she’s such an angelic beautiful baby girl. I was there literally when she was born!” Solange then shared how Beyoncé also witnessed her (now 7-year-old) son Daniel Julez Smith, Jr. being born. “I’ve heard her over the years talk about how impactful that was in her life,” she said. “And then I totally understood that it is such a surreal amazing moment and it really, really puts life into perspective.”

Bey Inspired: Timmy Kelly

Klaudia//June 20, 2012
The first time I met Timmy Kelly was in 2007, backstage at the Grammys. He was only 13 and he touched my heart with his voice and his love of music and life.

He is 18 now and he's just graduated high school - I'm so proud of him!

Timmy was born blind, and with cerebral palsy. But this never slowed him down - he has proven to everyone, that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and work hard.

In Philadelphia, he's known as the good luck charm to the Eagles and whenever he sings the National Anthem before a game they always win.

His strength and determination is an inspiration.

Timmy was just accepted to the Temple University's Boyer College of Music and Dance.

Congratulations Timmy!

Love,
B

Rita Ora Advised By Beyonce

Klaudia//June 18, 2012
Rita Ora gets advice from Beyonce Knowles. The 21-year-old singer - who is signed to the former Destiny's Child star's husband Jay-Z's record label, Roc Nation - thinks the 'Halo' hitmaker is ''amazing'' for the way she can juggle work with raising her five-month-old daughter Blue Ivy. Rita said: ''Beyonce comes into the studio when I'm recording. Beyonce's there for advice if I'm struggling with a lyric or concept for a song. ''I saw her the other day and she had her daughter in one arm and was still multitasking. She's amazing.'' Rita would love to collaborate with her peer, but there are also a host of other female stars she'd like to sing with. She added: ''I adore Gwen Stefani. I'd love to do a duet with her. Beyonce's up there too, of course. She and Madonna are legends, icons. They'll release music forever, they can do no wrong. ''I've met Rihanna a few times and it's all good vibes. I'd definitely like to work with her. That video would be kind of hot!''

ThinkBreatheLive's stunning tour visuals for Beyoncé

Klaudia//June 15, 2012
ThinkBreatheLive (TBL) has again teamed up with Beyoncé, this time on her epic four-night Memorial Day weekend comeback concerts, Back to Business, which were staged at Atlantic City's new Revel Hotel. Each show consisted of a two-hour, 23-song odyssey, the majority of which featured a massive TBL-generated interactive graphic display. The stage was an elaborate colossus that included myriad LED screens, including three 100-foot-plus monitors (one back LED, a mid LED that can hide or reveal the band members, and an LED floor), and several smaller screens on six towers. A blizzard of interactive visuals seesawed across the monitors throughout the show, ranging from a Tron-esque infinity treadmill floor to accompany End of Time to a slew of strobe lights and silhouettes complementing a slow-motion version of Baby Boy to interactive lasers moving to every step of the choreography in Schoolin' Life. As with last year's Billboard project, TBL worked directly with Beyoncé, director Ed Burke, and choreographer Frank D Gatson Jr throughout the creative process. "In our first meeting, we asked who our point person would be, and they said, 'Beyoncé,'" stated TBL creative director Andy Jennison. "And that was true – she was a fixture in our office. One of the things I love about working with Beyoncé is that she rolls up her sleeves and gets right into it. She doesn't just come in to approve things, she becomes part of the creative process." During a series of pre-production meetings, Beyoncé's team presented visual references in order to give Jennison and his team an idea of the flavours Beyoncé was looking for. Jennison quickly put together a treatment which maximized the usage of the various screens that Beyoncé would employ during her show. The team of 2D and 3D artists immediately began working on executing visuals that accented notes, choreography, and Beyoncé's unique vision of graphic, modern and iconic imagery.

Rita Ora Admits Jay-Z And Beyonce Made Her 'Nervous'

Klaudia//June 15, 2012
Rita Ora is one of the hottest acts around at the moment but even she admits that she gets nervous in front of her mentor Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce. The 'Hot Right Now' singer s signed to the rapper's label Roc Nation and is currently the opening act for Coldplay on their European tour. Rita, who will release her debut album later this year, is said to have played the record to Jay-Z and Beyonce backstage at Coldplay's recent Manchester show. A source told The Sun: "Jay manages Rita with his Roc Nation team so they used the chance to have a listen.'' "The feedback was good but it was nerve-racking having Beyoncé there as well." The singer has previously praised the 'Watch The Throne' rapper and his wife for their iconic status in today's music industry. "I'm really happy and honoured to be around people like Jay and Beyoncé - they're like my idols," she gushed to more! magazine. "I don't think it gets any higher than that in my eyes."

Diplo talks about Beyonce's new music

Klaudia//June 14, 2012
So what will Beyonce's next chart-topper sound like? Diplo says we should look out for what he calls "Tribal," a style made by a few musicians in Monterrey, Mexico, that mixes African and Mesoamerican sounds with "cheesy techno riffs." You can hear his explanation of the sound here.

Beyoncé And Koma

Klaudia//June 11, 2012
Beyonce Knowles may have worn dresses by David Koma before, but no piece he has created for her could have been more important than the one she wore for her comeback performance. After giving birth to baby daughter Blue Ivy Carter five months ago, Knowles has been at home with her daughter and husband Jay-Z, but her Atlantic City Memorial Day weekend concert required something a little more spectacular than her recent dressed-down chic. Koma designed a panelled bodysuit for the star, featuring lace detailing. "I absolutely love to work with Beyonce and her team and I'm very happy that she is back," London-based designer Koma told us. "She looks more beautiful than ever and it's always a pleasure to work with her!" The new mother performed a range of songs from her back catalogue - from new hits like Love On Top, to old favourites like Crazy In Love - as well as tributes to other legendary divas: performing Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You and Lauryn Hill's Ex-Factor.

Beyonce Reveals Meaning Behind Blue Ivy's Name

Klaudia//June 10, 2012
Beyonce has given away subtle deets behind her four-month-old daughter Blue Ivy’s name. Rumours have floated about for months now to why Bey and Jay chose the colour blue for their tots name. Taking a break from her mummy and wifey duties, the singer took to her website to upload a sweet poem that breaks down the mystery behind the unique name. "Water is colorless, shallow water appears to be the color of whatever lies underneath it" "But deep water is full of this scatted light, the purer the water the deeper the blue," a snippet of the poem reads. Jenna Randall: Beyonce Gets me in the Mood for Winning

Klaudia//June 8, 2012
Lounging in her suite at rock star hangout the Sanctum Soho Hotel in London with her blonde mane, lithe limbs and sun-kissed tan, you'd be forgiven for mistaking Jenna Randall, 23, for a supermodel. But don't be fooled - it's that powerhouse body of hers that's earned her the captaincy of the British synchronised swimming team, with three silver Commonwealth Games medals under her skintight swimsuit. So what are the Olympic hopeful's responsibilities as team captain? 'I write the team a checklist of what to pack, from pyjamas to goggles to swimsuits,' explains Jenna. 'I've had to learn to be organised from a young age, fitting my training around school and homework, and I'll do anything to make life easier for the team.' To get herself into the mood for a performance, Jenna finds music really helps. 'I listen to Beyonce's album 4 on the way to events,' she reveals. 'My favourite song is End Of Time - the beat always gets me pumped up.'

Beyonce Inspires NiRe AllDai's 'Boss-Bitch-Behavior'

Klaudia//June 8, 2012
Performing at the International Dance Music Awards in Miami in March and launching her first music video for her club single "Inside Out" are just two of Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter NiRé AllDai's endeavors since first stepping out as an artist. Her journey, which today sees her selecting songs — including tracks produced by Timbaland and the Stargate camp — for her upcoming debut album, actually began as a writer for other producers and artists. "I've always been an artist," NiRé told MTV News. "But my manager was like, 'Let's work this angle,' and it worked well because I was able to build a lot of really great relationships with dope producers who ended up helping me on my project." "I did a first single for Starshell, who was Mary J. Blige's first artist, and the single was called 'SuperLuva' ," NiRé continued. "I had a chance to write with Mary and Swizz and Timbaland and Dr. Dre, who's a really good friend of mine." After getting her writing chops up, meeting the right management and finding her A&R at Capitol Records, NiRé was ready to give it her all for a chance to perform for the masses. Her fearlessness, fashion and electricity are depicted vividly in her video for "Inside Out," which was directed by Hannah Lux Davis, who also directed videos for Shinedown and Anjulie, among others. NiRé is inspired by some of music's biggest, baddest stars, included among them Missy Elliott, Lil Wayne, and Beyoncé. "Beyoncé is the perfect example of what a solo artist should strive for," NiRé said. "If you want to be like 'boss-bitch-behavior'! When I'm in the gym and I'm tired and can't go anymore, I'm like, 'What would Beyoncé do?' She wouldn't stop."
