Welcome to the tweet age, Beyonce. The Queen B has finally used Twitter. She joined a while back and was verified, but never tweeted. Many of her fellow pop divas like Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Katy Perry tweet multiple times a day, sharing images from photo shoots and offer reports while in the studio, since they were raised in the digital generation and are a bit younger. But Bey, like Madonna, didn’t engage in 140-character conversations with fans. Until now. #Amen. With @Beyonce as her handle, the Twitter virgin sent her first tweet out into the world today. It was simple and promotional in nature, offering a greeting to the Twitterverse and promoting her brand new website. So she is using the social networking service in a strategic way. Hopefully Bey will share some Twitpics of Blue Ivy once she gets Twitter savvy. Bey has certainly been embracing the direct, intimate nature of the web world when it comes to engaging her fans as of late, by offering the first photos of Blue via her Tumblr, as opposed to splashing them all over a global tabloid for a couple million. Beyonce and Jay-Z have decided to celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary by creating a special Tumblr page featuring intimate snaps. The couple, who wed in an ultra private ceremony in 2008, are notoriously quiet about their relationship but they are finally sharing details of their personal life. Bey's designer Matthew D Siskin announced today on Twitter that he is in the process of putting the finishing touches to Bey and Jay's new Tumblr page. "#BeyHive those who found https://beyonce.tumblr.com and are wondering about the password = when we launch the site, the password is gone," Matthew wrote on Twitter. "@OhMyHoneyB thats because we have not yet launched the site ;)https://beyonce.tumblr.com IS A SECTION of the new site! soooooooon soooon."

Jay-Z was pictured heading to Jacob & Co. yesterday on his fourth anniversary to Beyonce, so one can only hazard a guess as to what expensive gift that he got for his wife. The '99 Problems' rapper, who recently welcomed daughter Blue Ivy, was seen smiling and hugging it out with jeweller Jacob Arabo in New York yesterday. Jay-Z, 42, had a black SUV waiting outside the jewellery store but no package was seen as he bundled his way into the vehicle, just a bottle of water. Sources have told Us Weekly that Jay-Z had definitely bought something special for Beyonce. With insiders telling MailOnline that he was particularly taken with a selection of 'Lumina' rare blue diamonds. "I know he checked out coloured diamonds, the rare blue 'Lumina' in particular," they said.

GlobalGrind: What was your reaction when you found out that your video was on Beyonce’s official website?

Brianna: Oh, man, I was just thrilled, being that — all of my years that I can remember, back to Destiny's Child days, I’ve always been a huge Beyonce fan! You know, I tweeted “She’s my idol.” So just to have her just recognize me as an artist was just amazing, incredible and so much motivation. I was so excited; I logged on into the site as soon as I found out she had posted it. And it just went crazy.

Jay-Z and Beyonce won't need a free upgrade from their mobile network this year – thanks to Kanye West. The rapper has bought them Porsche-designed BlackBerrys which cost an eye-watering £1,275 a time. The stainless steel and leather P'9981 handset is available only at Harrods. Brightening up the Big Apple streets, a cheerful Beyoncé Knowles was spotted out and about in New York City on Thursday afternoon (March 29). Sporting some of the hottest trends of the season, the "Single Ladies" songstress paired her hot pink top and brightly-hued, multi-print maxi skirt with a wide-brimmed black hat, circular sunnies and silver hoop earrings.

Rihanna has revealed she recently had the chance to meet Beyonce and Jay-Z's baby daughter Blue Ivy and has described the new arrival as "perfect". The 'We Found Love' singer also says the near three month-old child is already starting to resemble her '99 Problems' rapper father, and says she is "beautiful". "Yes I have!" Rihanna told Capital FM's showbiz reporter Kevin Hughes about meeting the new arrival. "She's, it's unreal. It's unreal! "You couldn't get more perfect than that child, she's beautiful," the 'You Da One' star revealed. "And she really is Jay-Z's twin. It's hilarious. She's beautiful!"

Victoria Beckham ''screamed'' when Beyonce wore one of her dresses. The 'Single Ladies' hitmaker wore a blue fitted design for an event organised by Michelle Obama earlier this week, and mega-fan Victoria admits she was blown away. She gushed: ''She was one hot mama, for sure. I mean, Beyonce is absolutely beautiful and has the most phenomenal body, she really does. She looks great, she really does. ''I was very excited when I saw it online. I screamed! I was like, 'Look, David, look!' I still get so, so excited. She's incredible and also an artist that I have so much respect for. I'm a huge, huge Beyonce fan. It was big for me.''

Girl fight? Not so fast. Proving that the only "Beautiful Liar" she has a problem with is the media, Katy Perry took to Twitter to lash out at the avalanche of feud reports sparked in the wake of the perceived diss she lobbed against Beyoncé and Shakira's years-old duet during a radio interview this week. While she undeniably told BBC Radio 1 that particular tune wasn't something she hoped to recreate when she eventually collaborated with Rihanna, the jump from that to straight-out dissing her pop star peers is a leap that's gotten Perry tweeting mad. Oh, and a warning: Apparently, when Katy gets mad, she gets potty-mouthed. "F--k all y'all (press) dat thinks I dissed anyone, puhlez, u havin a slow news day or what?!" she wrote last night. "Get a life, cuz it's not mine! #hoodratcominout. "If ya ears are filled with wax it's time to get a cleanse boo...Anywayz... (steps off of box)." As it happens, the alleged diss hit the headlines yesterday, when Katy's interview with the British radio giant went online. During the Q&A, Perry was asked if she and BFF Rihanna would ever make good on their promise to join musical forces, and her answer seemed to go out of its way to spare her colleagues' blushes. "I was telling her, you know that Eurthymics song with Aretha Franklin, Annie Lennox, 'Sisters Are Doin' It For Themselves'?" Katy said. "That's like the kind of song that I'd want to do instead of, like, 'Hips Don't Lie,' which was still a great song by Shakira and Beyoncé. I mean, not 'Hips Don't Lie,' what's that duet? 'Beautiful Liar.'" With friendly nonfeuds like that, who needs real ones?
