Megan Thee Stallion Credits Beyoncé For Advising Her To Launch A Tequila Brand

Klaudia//July 4, 2024
Having The Carters as mentors is a flex, especially when they’re giving out advice about how to become a mogul.

On Monday (July 1), Megan Thee Stallion revealed on Club Shay Shay that it was under the guidance of Beyoncé that she decided to venture into spirits and launch her own tequila brand.

“Beyoncé is actually the person that inspired me to get my own tequila,” explained the “BOA” rapper. “Because I used to be the cognac queen. I still am the cognac queen. But as much as I used to enjoy cognac, and I’ve promoted a lot of people’s liquor brands, she was like, ‘The next time I see you, you better have your own. You need to have your own alcohol.’”

Of the decision, Megan revealed, “When I was in the situation with and I wanted to get out of it, told me you need to do this on your own. Like, ‘You already know what it is. You already have all the tools. All the legal s**t you are going through, I know you are learning something. So you should figure out how to get out here and be your own boss.’”

Miley Cyrus opens up about friendship with Beyoncé

Klaudia//June 8, 2024
Miley Cyrus has given fans a glimpse into her relationship with Beyoncé and how the II ladies worked on their chart-topping duet.

The "Flowers" singer covers the latest issue of W magazine, The Pop Issue, where she opened up more about her friendship with Beyoncé and collaborating on their hit song "II Most Wanted" on Beyoncé's album "Cowboy Carter."

"I wrote that song, like, two and a half years ago. My mom would always go, 'I love that song so much.' So when Beyoncé reached out to me about music, I thought of it right away because it really encompasses our relationship," Cyrus told the magazine.

"I told her, 'We don’t have to get country; we are country. We’ve been country. You know, between you being from Texas and me being from Tennessee, so much of us is going to be in this song,'" Cyrus said. "Getting to write a song, not just sing, for Beyoncé was a dream come true."

Cyrus, who called Beyoncé a "big role model" in 2006, explained that she now has a genuine friendship with Queen Bey.

"Sometimes I forget to talk about things that are a normal part of my day-to-day, like texting with Beyoncé" Cyrus said. "I think it’s a really cute part of our relationship, because over the past couple of years I’ve really locked down on my privacy and on what I share with the public. She’s the same way. Part of our relationship is the safety between us."

SZA Thanks Beyoncé For Sweet Surprise After GRAMMYs Win

Klaudia//February 11, 2024
SZA is all smiles after receiving her flowers — literally and figuratively — in the last week. After securing three GRAMMY awards on Feb. 4, the singer got another sweet surprise from Beyoncé!

She took to social media to thank the star for her kindness, recognition, and beautiful bouquet of white roses.

“Thank you for seeing me before anyone else saw me. Thank you for making me feel valuable when I was the tiniest in the room. Thank you for shining your light on me and pouring into me with Goddess-level kindness. May God continue to protect and bless you, queen,” SZA wrote on Instagram Story.

As mentioned, SZA’s message was a response to Bey’s overall support and the card attached to the floral delivery.

“I’m so happy for you, beautiful! Watching you grow and watching you win is an honor. Sending you a huge congrats talented queen. All my love and respect, B”

Ts Madison Got Emotional Reflecting On Beyoncé Sampling Her Voice

Klaudia//February 3, 2024
In 2022, Bey sampled Ts Madison's voice on her Renaissance album, further proving that no one — not even the Queen — could resist Madison's charm and influence. BuzzFeed sat down with Ts to chat about her life, career, and why she's a staple in Black culture and, inarguably, Black history. Check it out ahead.

Speaking of allies, you collaborated with Beyoncé on her 2022 Renaissance album, which she dedicated to the Black queer community. Your voice is featured in the song “Cozy.” Have you had enough time to process that?

I'm still processing it. Beyoncé is a phenomenon in this world. For her to mesh her voice with mine, with the message of being comfortable in your skin, cozy with who you are, and singing about each color on flag ... It's one of those feelings that I say, "God, I'm doing right for my people." Black, brown, and beige. Fluorescent beige. I'm doing right for my people. I thank God for making me alive in this time to be a champion, advocate, and activist for my people. And I'm not excluding heterosexual people when I say my people, that includes them and my Black queer people.

Beyoncé sampled a clip from your 2020 video where you spoke out against police brutality and also the horrors that Black — especially Black trans — people face. That’s where the now iconic line, “Bitch, I’m Black!” comes from.

I'm Black. I'm Black like that. I'm in the hood right with George Floyd. I'm there, too. That could have been a knee on my neck. His murder occurred around the same time Iyanna Dior was being beaten by a mob in the gas station. My point is, how are we so divided? We are different shades of Black, but we are all Black nonetheless.

André 3000 had to ask Beyoncé's permission to use her name in new song title

Klaudia//November 18, 2023
André 3000 has revealed he had to ask Beyoncé’s permission to use her name on a song title.

The Outkast rapper recently unveiled his first solo album in 17 years, which consists of an 87-minute long album of experimental flute music. ‘New Blue Sun’ dropped on November 17.

André 3000 revealed he had to go to some lengths for one of his titles: ‘Ninety Three ‘Til Infinity And Beyoncé’. In an interview with NPR, the rapper revealed he had to ask the legendary singer for her permission to use her name.

“So No. 5 is called ‘Ninety Three ‘Til Infinity And Beyoncé.’ That was more when I was a youngster – Souls of Mischief was one of my favorite groups and ’93 ’til Infinity,’ everybody remembers that song,” he began.

Halle Bailey Reflects On Advice Beyoncé Gave Her

Klaudia//October 24, 2023
On October 17, Halle Bailey walked away with the 2023 Gen-Z Game-Changer Award at the Glamour Women of the Year ceremony. Taking place at London’s One Marylebone, the event highlighted those “who are truly game-changing in their field and celebrating feminism in all its forms.”

On October 18, the outlet published a lengthy op-ed by the singer and actress. Among the topics covered, Halle discussed her rise to fame, signing with Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment, working on her solo project, and the realities of being a Black woman.

In the editorial, Halle reflected on the words of encouragement she and Chlöe Bailey received from Mary Mary in 2021. Occuring at the Black Music Collective event during Grammy Week, the “Shackles” duo told them, “ don’t have to prove anything to anyone but yourselves and God.”

Halle added, “Beyoncé gave us similar advice when we played some of our earlier songs to her. Our sound at the time was more experimental, a melting pot of different influences and genres that couldn’t be put in a box. ‘The work that you are doing is so spectacular,’ she said. ‘Don’t worry about trying to dumb yourself down. The world is gonna have to catch up to you.'”

Tori Kelly Receives Flowers from Beyoncé as She Returns from Hospital

Klaudia//August 10, 2023
Following more than a week in hospital care for blood clots, Tori Kelly has returned home to her dogs — and a gift from Beyoncé.

On Tuesday, the Grammy winner shared a series of videos and photos to Instagram of herself relaxing at home with her pups, Frodo and Dobby, as well as an array of gifted flower arrangements.

"home sweet home," Kelly, 30, captioned the Instagram post, which opens with a video of her embracing Frodo while Dobby — both toy poodles — runs around in excitement.

The post's second slide is a photo of a card from her dogs (who likely received help writing from Kelly's husband, André Murillo) that reads, "Love you mom!!! Get better soon. Love, Frodo and Dobby."

Kelly also shared a photo of several flower bouquets on her kitchen counter, a box of donuts and images of herself chilling out as she plays a Nintendo Switch and watches Friends on television.

Halle Bailey shares advice Beyoncé gave her when cast as Ariel

Klaudia//April 9, 2023
When director Rob Marshall cast recording artist Halle Bailey as the lead in his live-action version of The Little Mermaid, the singer of R&B duo Chloe x Halle sought advice from her mentor — who just happens to be the multi-hyphenate Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.

Bailey, now 23, was named the new Ariel when she was 18, a casting that sparked polarizing responses: some praised Disney for its colorblind auditions, and those on the opposite end of the spectrum waded into racist waters.

Considered a protégé of Beyoncé — who voiced Nala in 2019's The Lion King, another reimagining of a Disney classic — Bailey says she received "beautiful advice" from the Grammy winner after landing Ariel.

"She's always been very, very complimentary and proud of me, and that means the world coming from her, somebody that's been one of my biggest inspirations since I was 3," Bailey tells EW for our Little Mermaid cover story. "She just told me to stand in my power and to not give up and to know that I can do this and believe in myself."

BLACKPINK's Rosé Spills On What Beyoncé Told Her At A Tiffany & Co. Event

Klaudia//December 4, 2022
BLACKPINK‘s Rosé has never been shy about how Beyoncé inspired her to become a musician, although her goal of becoming “like Beyoncé” has since changed.

"My dream? When I was really little, my dreams were very absurd. I really wanted to become a great singer like Beyoncé or Michael Jackson."

When she was little, Rosé admits that she used to play piano and loudly sing Beyoncé songs, which possibly annoyed her parents into realizing how seriously she wanted to pursue music.

"Once I grew up, they told me, ‘Rosie, to be honest, it was really hard for us to go to bed when you were singing at the top of your lungs.’ I think I would sing Beyoncé’s ‘Listen’ when I couldn’t reach the notes cause I was a terrible singer."

Of course, Rosé has become a global superstar, currently on BLACKPINK’s BORN PINK world tour and constantly impressing fans with her tremendous talent.

The global icon was also recently featured on the cover of Vogue Hong Kong, stunning fans with her gorgeous and elegant visuals.

And in her interview with the magazine, Rosé continued to express her admiration for Beyoncé, having felt honored to be able to attend a Tiffany & Co. event with her idol.

Chloe x Halle Talk Working With Beyonce

Klaudia//June 13, 2020
Chloe x Halle's new album "Ungodly Hour" was released yesterday and the girls were interviewed about working with Beyonce. Bey also promoted the album on Instagram.

You’re signed to Beyoncé’s management company, Parkwood, and I’m curious what kind of creative notes or advice she gives you when you’re working on an album.

C: She allows us to grow and flourish on our own. And, you know, as we’ve been finding our sound through the past five years, she’s just kind of sat back in the wings and let us do what we want to do. When we feel like we got the music to a special place, we always want her input. It’s Beyoncé! She has the experience, she’s incredibly talented, and she has such good instincts.

With her notes, a lot of the time, we’re on the same page. Whether it’s about what she hears in the layers of the production, if she thinks the production should change on one part, or how we sang a certain word or something, she’ll always recommend, but it’s up to us whether we want to do it or not. She allows us to do what we want to do, musically.

When we sent this album to her, she didn’t have any notes. Halle and I were like, whoa. She must really, really like it. And she could give us as many notes as she wants! She’s Queen Bey.
