Beyonce Influenced White Rabbits New Album

Klaudia//August 19, 2012
LD: You cite Beyoncé as an influence for your latest album Milk Famous. Can you elaborate a bit?

SP (Stephen Patterson): I think we wanted to go into this record with a sort of, for lack of a better term, a mix tape kind of vibe where each song feels kind of unrelated to one another, but as a whole, it kind of makes sense. That was kind of the feeling that I got out of her most recent record, 4, and she's so great at interpreting each song so differently and just always like shifting the tone of each thing, but still owning each sort of feeling in each song; there will be a party song or a very emotional song or whatever and use different sounds and arrangements for each song without any sort of care for a cohesive hold and I think that, for me, was sort of inspirational. That inspired me as a singer. She's one of the greatest singers of our time. I get the feeling that although she's one of the most famous people in the world, she still really cares about every small little detail that's going on and you have to appreciate that. It's hard to be at that level and still put out something that's such high quality. It's cool.

Beyonce Knowles is Rita Ora's "superwoman."

Klaudia//August 13, 2012
'How We Do' hitmaker Rita cites the singer as her number one influence, and can't believe she has gone from her humble roots in England to getting one-on-one advice from her.

Rita, who is signed to the Roc Nation label run by Beyonce's husband, said: "One minute I'm singing Destiny's Child's 'Say My Name' in my dad's pub and the next I'm sitting here asking Beyonce, does she think this song is right for my album?"

"The first time I met her I was so nervous. I hugged her and told her she was my inspiration. She's a superwoman with a career and a family. I hope one day I can do the same, baby in one arm, microphone in the other.

"Beyonce was, and she still is, such an inspiration. She's been in the game for so long you think she's older but she's only 30."

Rihanna Tweets Pic of Beyonce

Klaudia//August 13, 2012
Rihanna evidently thinks the world of Beyonce.

On Saturday, the "We Found Love" singer tweeted a glamorous photo of the new mom decked out in full makeup with her golden blonde hair done in bombshell waves and her ample cleavage on dull display.

"This pic could single handedly destroy the self esteem of an entire nation," Rihanna, 24, tweeted of her 30-year-old music industry colleague, whose husband is Jay-Z, Rihanna's mentor and label mate.

The Barbados beauty isn't the only star who's been girl crushing on the "Love on Top" songstress, who gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy in January. On August 2, actress Rashida Jones tweeted in excitement after catching a post on Beyonce's Tumblr with the handwritten words "Inspiring woman!" next to the actress' photo.

"WHA??? ALL-TIME CAREER AND LIFE HIGHLIGHT. Thank you, Beyonce, you're a goddess." Jones, 36, wrote.

Rita Ora gets good advice from Beyonce

Klaudia//August 9, 2012
Rita Ora has been busy giving interviews for magazines and radio stations in support of her debut album ORA, which is due out in the fall. She shared the best advice she received from Jay-Z and Beyonce.

The best advice Jay-Z gave her was to learn to shine all on her own.

“The best advice he gave me was, ‘Have you seen Chris Martin perform? You know it’s literally just him on a stage? And he just rocks it out. Jay told me, ‘You don’t need dancers and stuff around you,” she told British GQ.

Beyonce has also been supportive.

When it comes to the best advice Beyonce offered, Ora shared in a separate interview, “She just wanted to see that I believed what I was singing — just to be comfortable in my skin, and to really understand what I’m about to do. That’s what she was trying to do, and that was the best advice ever.”

Rita Ora Advised By Beyonce

Klaudia//June 18, 2012
Rita Ora gets advice from Beyonce Knowles. The 21-year-old singer - who is signed to the former Destiny's Child star's husband Jay-Z's record label, Roc Nation - thinks the 'Halo' hitmaker is ''amazing'' for the way she can juggle work with raising her five-month-old daughter Blue Ivy. Rita said: ''Beyonce comes into the studio when I'm recording. Beyonce's there for advice if I'm struggling with a lyric or concept for a song. ''I saw her the other day and she had her daughter in one arm and was still multitasking. She's amazing.'' Rita would love to collaborate with her peer, but there are also a host of other female stars she'd like to sing with. She added: ''I adore Gwen Stefani. I'd love to do a duet with her. Beyonce's up there too, of course. She and Madonna are legends, icons. They'll release music forever, they can do no wrong. ''I've met Rihanna a few times and it's all good vibes. I'd definitely like to work with her. That video would be kind of hot!''

Klaudia//June 8, 2012
Lounging in her suite at rock star hangout the Sanctum Soho Hotel in London with her blonde mane, lithe limbs and sun-kissed tan, you'd be forgiven for mistaking Jenna Randall, 23, for a supermodel. But don't be fooled - it's that powerhouse body of hers that's earned her the captaincy of the British synchronised swimming team, with three silver Commonwealth Games medals under her skintight swimsuit. So what are the Olympic hopeful's responsibilities as team captain? 'I write the team a checklist of what to pack, from pyjamas to goggles to swimsuits,' explains Jenna. 'My favourite song is End Of Time - the beat always gets me pumped up.'

Beyonce Inspires NiRe AllDai's 'Boss-Bitch-Behavior'

Klaudia//June 8, 2012
Performing at the International Dance Music Awards in Miami in March and launching her first music video for her club single "Inside Out" are just two of Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter NiRé AllDai's endeavors since first stepping out as an artist. Her journey, which today sees her selecting songs — including tracks produced by Timbaland and the Stargate camp — for her upcoming debut album, actually began as a writer for other producers and artists. "I've always been an artist," NiRé told MTV News. "But my manager was like, 'Let's work this angle,' and it worked well because I was able to build a lot of really great relationships with dope producers who ended up helping me on my project." "I did a first single for Starshell, who was Mary J. Blige's first artist, and the single was called 'SuperLuva' ," NiRé continued. "I had a chance to write with Mary and Swizz and Timbaland and Dr. Dre, who's a really good friend of mine." After getting her writing chops up, meeting the right management and finding her A&R at Capitol Records, NiRé was ready to give it her all for a chance to perform for the masses. Her fearlessness, fashion and electricity are depicted vividly in her video for "Inside Out," which was directed by Hannah Lux Davis, who also directed videos for Shinedown and Anjulie, among others. NiRé is inspired by some of music's biggest, baddest stars, included among them Missy Elliott, Lil Wayne, and Beyoncé. "Beyoncé is the perfect example of what a solo artist should strive for," NiRé said. "If you want to be like 'boss-bitch-behavior'! When I'm in the gym and I'm tired and can't go anymore, I'm like, 'What would Beyoncé do?' She wouldn't stop."

Luke James Talks Opening For Beyoncé

Klaudia//May 27, 2012
R&B singer Luke James' career began buzzing a little over a year ago, and now he's on his way to having a career hotter than a Lousiana summer. The New Orleans native recently received a call breaking the news that he would be opening for Beyoncé's highly anticipated Memorial Day Weekend Revel Concert in Atlantic City, and it's all seemed like a whirlwind of rehearsals and amazing music since. Bursting onto the scene with his breakout hit "I Want You," Luke James has been working non-stop to fulfill his dream- music. GlobalGrind managed to catch up with Luke during his rehearsal time with Beyonce to chit-chat about opening for King Bey, going to school with Frank Ocean, and of course the juicy stuff-sex. Check out our exclusive interview below!

GlobalGrind: How did you end up linking up with Beyoncé?

Luke James: Well, basically, that all happened through my manager, Frank Gatson who works side by side with her throughout her career. She’s known of me since I’ve started in this business and what not. And I guessed it just felt right. My manager approached her with the option of using me as far as an opening act and she agreed. So, that’s basically how it happened.

I know you’ve been rehearsing nonstop. Has Beyoncé given you any advice on giving a good show?

Her advice doesn’t come directly, it’s been indirect, to me. Watching her perform and her work ethic as far as rehearsing and all that kind of stuff, I kind of got that information from her that way, by just watching — just being a sponge.

Gaga: "Beyonce will bail me out, if i get into a jail"

Klaudia//May 23, 2012
Lady Gaga, who has been condemned in Jakarta by religious groups for her provocative outfits and raunchy dance routines, has said that in case she is jailed, Beyonce will bail her out. One hard-line group, the Islamic Defenders even threatened violence and said they were willing to lose their own lives to stop it going ahead, which seems a bit drastic. Because of this, the national police refused to grant a permit, fearing a massive headache when it came to security, understandably. The singer herself hasn't really said an awful lot on the topic, choosing instead to just go about her normal business of dressing up strangely, changing her hair colour and trying not to break her ankles while walking on her stilt shoes. This morning she Tweeted on the difficult subject and said if the 52,000 seat concert on June 3 does go ahead, it will just be her performing on her own. "The Jakarta situation is 2-fold: Indonesian authorities demand I censor the show and religious extremist separately, are threatening violence," the Mirror quoted her as tweeting. "If the show does go on as scheduled, I will perform the BTWBall alone," she had tweeted earlier. Still, she's prepared to suffer for her art it seems, even if it means a spell in the clink, because she has friends in high places. "And don't worry, if I get thrown in jail in Manila, Beyonce will just bail me out. Sold out night 2 in the Philippines. I love it here!" she added.

Is there anyone you haven’t interviewed that you want to interview?
I want to interview Gloria Steinem, Beyoncé, and Hillary Clinton.

What’s alluring to you about Beyoncé? What would you ask her if you got her into your living room?
She’s a mama! I’m curious how being a mom has changed her life, and I will be curious how that affects her drive and ambition.

The world is waiting to see that.
I also think she’s one of the few women out there as far as role models go, who has integrity. She’s a sensual woman. She’s a smart woman. She’s a funny woman. She’s a playful woman. She’s a wife. She has integrity!
